Default Dispute case: Refund Query

Long story short.. Bought something of a seller with a reasonable amount of feedback for a five hundred pounds and never heard anything from the seller after I paid.. Gave it a week, still nothing. Opened a dispute, 10 days later Escalated it..

I won the case, BUT ebay sent me an email stating that I won the case blah, blah blah but they could not refund the money to my PP account that I had paid with? So they said that it had been sent to my "eBay registered email address" you'll have to confirm this email address before you can receive the refund. (Which is the same PP account I paid with/ Checked that PP acc and the moneys in there)

Heres the thing.. My paypal account is fully verified with docs sent in and approved (Drivers license, Photo-part and bank statement)

No worries there..

What im asking is the refund is not exactly small.. (£5xx.00 pounds) so can I just withdraw that money straight up without raising flags etc? or having any problems?

Thanks.

What was the original source of the payment - pp funds from other sales? bank account? credit card?

So it's your own funds from the get go - I don't foresee a problem.

Yes, Thats what im thinking..

But then you never know Paypal and I want my money to be 100% safe..

Another thing.. They haven't "refunded" the original transaction to my debit card.. They have simply placed funds into my PP account.. So surely if I wanted to I could claim the money back through my bank aswell couldn't I?

(Not that I would, because I already have it back.. But im just curious.)

If you place a claim via your bank, you will risk your pp account going down. And also since you signed the agreement for dd/withdrawal with pa yp al to your bank, it's a silly move.

Also, your bank would see that PP made the charge to your debit card so the fraud investigators would probably check with PP who would say they sent back the money...
