Buyer opened dispute

I am really not very lucky with selling on eBay at the moment :suspicious: someone does not mean it well with me.

After having had two buyers that I had to refund, trying to open a dispute (see other thread), I now had a buyer open a dispute for an item he bought Friday late at night (22th July). It was in the listing that I cannot send off till Monday and I also explained in a message to him after he paid.
So now today I was in hospital all day after falling downstairs and hurting my shoulder .. not able to end off the package in the end after hours in A&E etc. I got home and sent the buyer an e-mail explaining and he replied 'it's fine, please send it tomorrow'.
So I thought that was it .. till I went on PayPal and seen my money was on hold .. because exact that same buyer had opened a dispute. No idea how he could as I would have imagined they have to wait longer but my money was on hold for sure. So I refunded the money to him and then sent him a message saying I was confused about his actions but he had his money back and that was it.
So now he replies straight away saying he only opened the dispute to 'express a concern' .. WHAT????!!!!
He was not even supposed to have received the phone yet plus I explained what happened earlier on.

Is this going to raise a red flag in eBay/PayPal now???
And also .. he now reckons he still wants the item .. and he wants to send the money again .. I am not going to accept though as he really annoyed me - or am I acting wrong??

If you still would want the sale cancel the transaction via ebay. Tell him that is how it has to be done since the claim was filed and a refund was given. lol..

Then have him resend the payment. Send the item and go with it. That way he has no feedback he can hurt you with since he seems to be a moron.

I have done this. Not exact scenario but worked the same.

Thanks for that KingRay .. good idea ..
And you're right about the feedback.
But he did really annoy me with this ..

Still worried if this raised a red flag with my PayPal account or not?

I have had these claims before - it's actually better that you send out the item with tracking and buyer ends up closing it. Looks good to pa yp al that you handle the concern well - from my point of view.

If you've had 3 different issues with buyers and are worried about raising red flags, you are probably right in being worried. If you don't have back-up account set up, now would be a good time to open one up.

Check your seller dashboard on ebay see if the paypal complaint shows up?
