Default Adding Credit Card to Paypal

Hi all, stealth paypal, if I add a credit card, is there any benefits?

My plan, as I will hit the £1900 limit this week, is to add the card, then attempt to lift the limits, I'll have to get creative if they ask for docs, is it for sure that they ask for them?

I'm unsure as to try and register as a business or not?

Any advice is appreciated! Cheers guys!

Credit card allows for confirmation and will help with some limits.

Is the card a VCC or an actual card?

If you can not "confirm your personal information" on PP, then once you attempt that after 2 tries, it will ask for docs.

I tried getting creative before and it was a massive waste of time as they still screwed my account.

Hi there RSOT

Which limits does adding a cc help with? I always add a bank account and end up with no limits apart from the 1900. If I add a cc then I don't think it matters as the 1900 is still there. In the guide I know it says "add a bank account and a cc to lift limits" but I have not understood why.

Sometimes my head hurts - like now....

What am I missing??

Thanks

It used to be the case that adding and then confirming credit card in addition to a phone confirmation would remove the £1900 limit. Now only docs will do that unless the details are on electoral register (or similar).

Adding a credit card means you can send instant payments when buying stuff. A bank account only means you can only pay by echeque (assuming you don't already have the funds in the pp acc)

Could you ellaborate on what you mean by screwed your account. Was it because of the docs or were they accepted?

Too funny!!!

When I said they screwed the account, I mean they terminated it...

They told me that they would be "parting ways" from doing business with me and that if I had any funds in the PP, then I could get them out in 180 days.

The account was perfect with no prior problems. This is what PP are famous for doing to genuine sellers and this is also why I have over 15 accounts.

The docs were great, but they would not tell me if they accepted them or not, just said they were parting ways.

Be prepared for this b*llsh*t that they may impose after going passed the £1650 limit.

Thanks

Thanks for the heads up. And for that reason I take care of that all prior to listing my first item.

Is there any chance I will be matched up, using neighbours address and same postcode? What does it look for when checking the register?

No one knows for certain. The only way to find out is to try to remove the limit.
