how long does this take to clear?? i have sold a item on ebay but been sent one of these eCheque :mad2:

Anything from 5 to 7 days.

Only draw back is your wait for the funds. Usually echeques are sound.

It should say right on your paypal screen when its expected to clear. I even get a note on my "My ebay" page when I move the curser over the payment icon. Try that.

To OP, please do not sent the item(s) until the echeque has cleared. You should have been sent a message from pp stating this aswell as the expected clearing date. Your buyer will also have been notified of this.

I personally have had only 2 out of 30 echeques get refused, so I just mentioning.

Yeah for me I have had probably 250 of them over the years and only 1 has not cleared. when it didnt clear the just sent it with paypal again but with their CC this time.

Like Greenbean said, they are solid when they clear. Not a worry.

and as said above, They buyer gets the same email saying that nothing is sent until the echeck clears.

what I usually do just in case they dont understand why its taking so long is email them and say I got your echeck and it said it should clear on so and so date. I will make sure I let you know as soon as I hear from them on it.


You get great communication dsr that way. Just an FYI
