hi does any one no if you can close your savings accounts from your internet banking?

You have to go in to the branch. Cannot do it online.

Go in branch or send them a letter stating you want to close the account.

Yep... if you goto branch and ask for a close account form, you can take it home and fill it in in peace. Then you can either post it off or quickly hand in to staff at branch and leg it!

my mum actually works in my local lloyds tsb branch wonder if she could close them try sweet talk her tomorrow lol

That is not hard to find out yourself.... if you go ask your own bank in the UK. They have to tell you what "personal" info they share with other organizations!
Paypal on the other hand will not....but we already know this!
