Do you fax The front or front&back of Driving license to ebay/paypal
 

Do you show only the front of Driving license to ebay/paypal or both front and back side of the ID card.

And is there any line or number that you can hide (black out) from the Driving license. Or you have to show them all?

Also can fax as black and white document?

Just the front.

I hide nothing.

Provisional is just as good as a normal licence, i have used it many times to verify Paypal accounts.

Fine, good for you, I'm glad it works for you. Provisional DL is NOT classed as photographic proof of ID in the UK. Try and open a bank account with one.

Actually your very wrong there once again.

Provisional Driving Licence is classed as Valid Photographic Identification and a Bank Account CAN be opened with it. The only UK Banks NOT allowing to open an account with a provisional are RBS and Natwest, Even so they allow you to open with a provisional if you are under 20 but after that no.

Im sorry, im not trying to prove you wrong or argue, im just spreading the knowledge.

I'm sure you're right - my youngest could not open an account with Barclays 2 months ago with a provisional. She had to provide additional proof. I will refer Barclays to you if it happens again.

I bank with Barlcays myself, and being a full licence holder i still had to provide additional proof to open the account.

ID requirements for Barclay's bank.

Photocard driving licence includes Provisional

UK full paper driving licence does NOT include Provisional paper licence.

just to share something,i open my natwest account with my provisional licence,(3 years ago)
now i have full licence

i went to 1 branch they said it can't be done with provisional(at the reception)

i went to the second branch they said we are very happy to open you an account.

i really think its depend on the person in the bank.if they want they will do it

My son used his provisional to open his bank account recently and they were happy with that.

And I have used provisional for one or two paypal accounts.

Then I stand corrected and educated - thank you

paypal, they rejected provisional for me

It is looking a bit hit and miss, just like the banks.

So the conclusion is...

"depend on your luck if provisional driving license will work for you or not."

But Granny, why would you compare Paypal to a Bank? From our previous discussions you explicitly defined its difference from a Bank....that is your reasoning on why its perfectly legal to make stealth accounts under assumed names. Was it not? :D
