reversals or limitations on pp purchase with vcc

just double checking, as I have not done this before. If I pay my supplier with paypal, funded with a vcc and the payment gets reversed, does the amount go straight back on to card? If the payment gets reversed AND acc gets limited, the money is not held in the paypal is it? it goes back to card regardless, right?..

While I have not had this happen in a long long time, I remember once I had a payment reversed on a regular cc and the amount sat in pp - I did not call up the agent but I think they can refund that way if you call them up.
