Bank account needs additional review?? HUH?

Recently had a paypal limited! gutting but not much I an do but wait 180 days.

So I attempted to make a new Paypal - all stealth i.e new ip, new email , deleted all cookies/flash etc done everything correct, used my girlfriends Debit card to link with paypal soused her details, which is not used with any accounts and on linking the card I get this messege -

*The account you entered would need additional review. Please link a different bank account.

If you would still like to use this bank account, you may fax us a copy of the bank statement with the two amounts PayPal deposited in your bank account shown and a copy of your driving licence or other photo ID. You must use this form for your fax cover sheet and send the fax to (402) 537-5780.*

What are the reasons for this???? the account is still valid! has cash in it, and of course I used all genuine details which again are not linked to anything.

think its when a savers acc gets knocked back, you either tell them or show them the deposits and they re-add it and it should then be ok, it was the saver element that glitches it and it is thrown out but then they can manually add it. At least that was the case a while back.

OP - Can you confirm this was the case? Oompah is very experienced and we need to know if she has read it right

well I was not asked for ID though. It was purely that the saver got removed, and OP has not stated it was removed.....

I have added another saver to another acc, within the last few weeks and did not have this problem, think it happens sometimes or with certain banks maybe..

However the fact that they say needs additional review, please add different bank, must mean either they detect it is non dd mandate compatible or they have some knowledge it is not a name or address match to paypal, however for this they can usually only do it by drawing from the bank.......

yeah,surely they cant know the op`s bank account info

they would need everyone`s bank account info and names etc to be able to say this bank account does not belong to you

and no bank is gonna give out everyones bank info,only on an actual transaction

has the card been used before on paypal by your missus?

Which account and what address is on the debit card?

does it differ from the stealth account address?

Well on speaking to my girlfriend she has another account I can use and link that instead of messing around sending docs to paypal.

She has just told me that the first account I tried to link hasn't been used for well over 6mths! even though theres cash in it she hasn't spent or had money go into it for a long time. Im guessing this could be the reason for the *additional review* ??

No - I used the same address on the card with the paypal - all have never been used on any accounts as she doesnt use EBAY/PAYPAL so all totaly brand new!

nationwide was a buidling society. Then started to fall in line with the High Street banks.

The account might have been deemed inactive and on a suspense hold because of no activity for 6 months. :suspicious:

GB there are no issues with nationwide current, it works for verifying the same as any other banks ones...
