| saadra | 09-20-2011 03:18 PM | Increasing ebay selling allowance.... Hi
When I try to increase my selling allowances by "Request higher selling allowances", I get to a page where is asks me to confirm my bank account.
My question is, when I get the 2 deposits from paypal/ebay. Where do I enter them?? it says:
1. You enter your bank account information in PayPal. Don't have a PayPal account? Sign up here
2. PayPal will deposit 2 small amounts into your bank account in 3 to 5 days so you can confirm it's your account.
3. You then go to your My eBay Messages Inbox to complete the confirmation.
Point 3 says go to my messages, but I can find anywhere to enter the deposits...
Do I enter them only on paypal??
Thanks. |
toplevelseller | 09-20-2011 03:41 PM | the two deposits will show on your bank account statement in 2-3 working days.
once you have found these go to paypal.com > Get VERIFIED > enter two digits....
VERIFIED YEY....
next go to selling account, lift selling account limits. and wholla 100 items or £3500 limit. |
nice one;)
wonder if it varies though
has anyone else done this and got a different outcome ? |
toplevelseller | 09-20-2011 03:48 PM | done the same thing on 2 accounts.
nothing changed. ( TOUCH WOOD )
haha |
thats a good rise
wonder what would happen if you added the bank account to pay pal before you linked it to eb ay and tried to sell |
Stigger | 09-20-2011 06:47 PM | if its a personal account and your PP is verifed then it should be 100, the people that are getting 10 are not doing it right. |
you verify pay pal before trying to sell |
I got this message on a eb ay.com when I wanted to request higher limits yesterday but the problem is my pp is already verified by bank deposit hmm and it still gave this message. |
Recherché | 09-20-2011 10:17 PM | I was wondering about this for US ebay accounts. I don't go past verify as they want updated phone #. All my other ebay accounts are female names and I'm afraid they might actually call me. Can anyone confirm for US accounts if they received calls? Not sure why it is limited to $500 as my paypal has verified info & bank account #. |
saadra | 09-20-2011 11:43 PM | Thank you toplevelseller, selling limit was lifted after following your steps.
Thanks. |
saadra | 09-20-2011 11:49 PM | On paypal my paypal account, in the to do section on the right hand side. It is asking me to complete direct debit mandate. Should I bother? As I used a savings account which will not stick anyway??
Thanks. |
FizzyFish | 09-20-2011 11:49 PM | I just got my first stealth running a couple of days ago - it has a limit of 10.
So what gives, what did I do wrong.
Surely either it works or it don't... right? Quote:

cortex | 09-22-2011 02:59 PM | SAADRA: which savers are you using? |
saadra | 09-23-2011 06:32 AM | I use santander e saver's |
RomexTM | 09-23-2011 06:34 AM | If your selling on eBay us you have to have a verified paypal us according to customer service |
james169 | 12-03-2011 06:11 AM | I can confirm as I have just done it that to increase the selling allowances for me on an stealth accont that was 4 months old only 14 FB from 10 / £650 per month to 100 / £3,500 per month I followed toplevel sellers advice.
I had already verified PP with my bank account about 2 months previously with the 2 depositis, when I clicked on request higher selling limits through EB and it said about depositing 2 small ammounts when I clikced on this it automaticly gave me the 100 / £3500 as I had previously verified PP with a bank account
Now to do my other stealth accounts, will eport back if anything different happens with them |
NotAHappyBunny | 12-03-2011 05:31 PM | ive had my 1st 10/limit upon opening an account this month. Dont know what i did differently, i need to work it out though cos I dont want that to happen again.
I will try the method mentioned - is it safe to do this within days of starting to sell?
thanks :pop2: |

thanks :pop2: | Do it as soon as you've listed your first item. That's what I've done on several accounts recently - no issues. |

TLSunny | 12-04-2011 03:53 PM | I set up five stealth accounts in the last few weeks. All of my accounts now have the 100 item limit despite the fact that none of them had more than 3 feedback, in fact one of then had none. I did it like this...
1. Create eb accounts
2. Create pp accounts
3. Bought some stuff of eb and paid with postal orders (not sure if this stage made a difference)
4. Verified pp accounts
5. Sold a couple of items on each account
6. Clicked link to raise limits in eb
7. Add pre verified pp accounts
8. Limits were raised to 100
After you click on the link to raise the limits in eb it tells you to check your bank for 2 small amounts etc and then logs you into pp so you can enter them but because you have already done this as soon as you've logged into pp you are taken straight to the 'congrats, your limits have been raised page'. |

If you have not done it once then yes you should, there is a thread all about it , make sure you read it first as there is a couple of things you might need to know first. |

"You can now sell up to 100 items or up to £3,500.00 per month, whichever comes first.
We'll review your account periodically and may automatically grant an allowances increase based on your selling performance."
However, how can we raise this to more? Would I have to get quite a few feedback then request again? | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 08:15 AM. | |
