ebay uk and amazon is no good for business

Hi Folks,

I was trading on ebay and amazon in uk for about 7 months.

I have personally bought stealth and its amazing. But Please tell me if I am wrong ? .

I worked really hard slogging day and night to bring in more business. Selling legitimate items.

All I found one fine day that all my accounts has been suspended due to high risk. I still cannot figure out risk to whom?. I guess risk to ebay and amazon to whom we can be a huge threat in regards to competition.

These companies let you to sell for some time and then when they get hold of your product and customers they decide to pull you off.

E bay has tie ups with pay pal and pay pal will apparently freeze your money no matter what for 180 days.

Amazon will shut you down for ridiculous reasons.

Guys we need to get real and just put these companies behind us. We need to start selling on our own websites. Bit of hard work but surely beneficial in long term.

Even if you are selling real good on these companies, you never know when they will shut you down. They do not have any offices where we can meet them. They have their own rules.

Guys nothing works with these companies. Stealth or whatsoever believe me.

Business never runs on others mercy. We have to have a strong platform. And these companies are clearly rip off for the sellers.

Even if we manage to sell for some days using stealth one mistake could shut you down and all your hard earned funds frozen for 6 months.

You will be out of business over night.

Guys I had enough of night mares waking up every morning hoping that my accounts are still up and fine.

Hope you guys agree with me.

Regards.

dont know about amazon, but ebay makes me go round the twist with the amount of stuff it requests from me, and the hassle some buyers give me...however if I was losing money I would not do it, but I am making money, not alot but its better than a real job right now for me. My personal opinion has always been to not use ebay as your sole income, or you will be risking getting stuffed.

I agree with oopma. I would no way like to rely on ebay or amazon as a full time income, too unstable, bubble can burst at any time even with a genuine account or a fool proof stealth account. You need to have a plan - not to sound negative but you should always be thinking worst case scenario.

I work full time and my genuine ebay went down, it was a bummer but im not going to starve! always have a back up plan. I am going super stealth very soon so i will be back in the game ( thats all it really is- a game ):D

id suggest if you are selling legitamate items that you consider getting your own website. they may cost a lot initially and you may not see much traffic for 18months, at least in my case...but it sure is worth the hassle free life

Techincally you are talking about two different ecommerce platforms.
Each are complex and difficult to master. Neither play to a consistent set of rules. Such is the perogative of business cartels.

That leaves us, as minions in their games, as needing to be as diverse as they make us be. I would never regard it as practical or sensible to have either as a sole means of income. Trying to live with BOTH is as bad.

As you say, it is imperative to diversify. Having your own website does mean work. Making that a success will help improve your financial situation.

All of this, be it amazon, ebay or a website involves planning, careful planning and work. It's doable.
And when it means you've beaten ebay or amazon, that's the best feeling.
Good Luck :peace:

i guess yes

Thank u guys for the replies.

I think we all individuals have our own opinions. I guess paypl is pain in ......

No matter what you do if they want to they can hold your money for 6 months.

Believe me guys my 6k was held and I was having night mares. I went to the court and did everything I could but all in vain.

I am not going to do business with them anymore. :bump:

I am now all set for my own:clap:

6k locked up in pp,ouch!

bet you wish you found this forum before that happened!

oompaloompa 09-24-2011 01:11 PM

always withdraw regularly. Before selling more, I would rather wait until any holds clear before piling more sales on top of it....

give us a low down on what happened in the court case, what did they win with? that their t & Cs allowed hold due to 180 days of chargebacks or disputes, - yep
