Feedback no longer lifting 21 day hold?
 

Is this right? I notice now in the email they send it mentions send via trackable method etc but the "Postive feedback received" seems to have been removed.

If this is the case I think this is finally the last straw and I will now be finally giving up on eBay.

Is it just me that sells something say a phone and uses the money to buy another, I simply can't wait 21 days, if you even get it after 21 days.

i got some payment holds, positive feedback didn't lift the hold...

Feedback itself will not lift it unless you do phone calls to pa yp al - it does suck like that.

I have holds on all my new accounts. There was no mention of "receiving positive feedback" to release the funds but within minutes of receiving + feedback the money was released.

I think holds and how it gets released is very much down to the individual account and it is likely they are using some sort of risk based software similar to credit scoring.

Yeah it used to relieve the holds. Just discovered today also that it doesn`t. After annoying some buyers into leaving positive feedback so I have enough available balance to print shipping labels via Paypal, I log in to find that there is still a payment hold on everything.

eBay and Paypal sure are making things complicated.

for me they get released few second after i receive + feedback.

my new account also has holds, but they get released after feedback recieved.

When i receive funds, paypal email and say its on hold and it will be held for 21 days baut can get if faster if positive feedback is recieved or if mailed with tracking.

I also get emails when the funds are released.

Looks like for most UK peeps the feedback thing still works...?

Yes it works but if you keep an eye on your payments, not all get realsed, So 3 days after it has they have been delivered, email Europeanservices@paypal.com (european users)

With the name, transaction ID and tracking number and your funds will be realeased very quickly.

Seems a bit sick how PP are not releasing funds after good feedback has been left. I have not encountered this from PP since about 2 or 3 years ago.

Yeah, there just is no reason at all for them to keep the funds after positive feedback has been left.

This will be fantastic if i dont have to wait the 21 days for the money... im gonna give this a try as i have loads still pending and have all been signed for.

yeah i hate paypal sucks we are forces to use them and the other methods sucks as well cause they can take days with them also,

So any solution for this 21 days hold, I've received many positive feedbacks on my Canadian Stealths and none of those payments have been released so far.

Is it time to call Paypal? Keep in mind my accounts are fairly new.

Thats the point . not all money is getting released so the solutions is to ring them or send an email (with all the details of the transactions 3 days after they have been signed for) to the address i posted above.

Had to hit search on this thread because am in a similar situation..basically had my first sale on a new account...pos feedback received...item was received saturday..funds still held and am UK based with a fully verified business sole trader paypal attached to ebay business account...should i call pp or...?

Same here, loads of payments not being released after feedback is left.

I've had the strangest thing happen. I sold some headphones..21 day hold. Next day I sell something..no hold? Maybe because I have 100% positive feedback? Anyway call paypal and the woman says paypal can't see my 'positive feedback' or my 'linked ebay account'. What aload of crap! Then she says it can take upto 21 days for me to get my funds. I'm like..but the guys left positive feedback..tracking on 2nd march shows items delivered (i sent recorded 1st class royal mail)..so i've done what you said tizwoz dropped that address an email..hopefully it helps in this bizarre and different rule by a different paypal rep world!,...

You sold headphones and called up pp to get rid of the hold...you do know that headphones can be considered high risk? You are asking for trouble...just wisdom from reading all around and seeing what people have problems with

Hi, I only sold one pair. And had no idea tbf, they were genuine headphones..only went for £30 if that helps lol..but thanks RSOT i'll consider that next time i list something

Just a update and thanks to tizwoz for the helpful email address..(thanks just got my funds once i sent the emai within 9 hours..this is what paypal said

What do you put in the subject line and do you need to explain everything in the body of the email?

it still works and to be honest..all i said was i sent the item and got positive feedback and its been 3 days and the funds aren't released..i got that response above.
just be honest and careful what you write..i put my subject as something like payment release help or something so yeah..

I have rang up 3 times since Friday to get funds released after positive feedback. Each time they have told me its a fault in the system that's preventing funds being automatically released , a glitch that is being looked into and trying to be repaired , they said in the meantime just ring up and tell us that you have recieved feedback and want funds releasing and will do it . True to there word iv had 10-12 item funds released over the space of 3 calls since Friday ...

Yeah I think theres a glitch where paypal can't see the feedback on ebay left which causes a problem, the woman when I rang told me the same thing to be fair.
In the end the email to europeanservices worked for me. So I got to give props where its due to TizWoz on that..but i don't really like calling paypal as i get too paranoid if you call them that you could get that 1 paypal agent who decides to limit your account because you annoyed him..
