| frustr8ed | 10-29-2011 10:53 AM | Business Account but still a 10 item limit Hi all,
I have looked through these forums for a while now and I can't seem to find an answer to this specific question. Why is it that some eBay Business Accounts wil have a limit of 10 items, and others will allow 100. After much trial and error I can't seem to work out how eBay determines which is which. Any help much appreciated! |
slapped | 10-29-2011 11:25 AM | This has been discussed and tested for quite some time and still there is No specific anwser if you figure it out let us Know |
GrannyT | 10-29-2011 04:28 PM | Get your Paypal account verified and link it to your Ebay account. You will then get a 100 limit. After that you can either phone in or wait for organic growth |
bicawi | 10-30-2011 03:29 PM | Hi GT
Would this be the same for a personal account, or just business?
Thank you |
GrannyT | 10-30-2011 05:41 PM | I have no idea - I don't do personal accounts |

Yes it is. |
FizzyFish | 11-03-2011 01:11 AM | Hmm, I must be doing something wrong then. I have two verified PP acts linked to two personal seller acts and they both still have a 10 selling limit or 350/650 pound limit.
What am I missing?! |
frustr8ed | 11-03-2011 06:38 PM | Agreed with Fizzy. I have tried this many a time and I get a 10 limit every time. Maybe it makes a difference whether you initially register as a Business or upgrade later, or whether you are verified when you actually create the seller account. |
FizzyFish | 11-04-2011 02:32 AM | Glad I'm not the only one with this issue.
The first one I set up was unverified when linked, the second was verified when linked...they were given limits of 10 with 350 and 650 respectively so maybe there is a connection there - but I want the elusive 100 items and 3500 limit!!
Back to the drawing board! |

Back to the drawing board! | I verified my Paypal account today, thinking the limit would change to 100 items, but it did not work, going to set up a new account and try verifying Paypal before setting up a selling acount on eBay. |

It is not automatic.
Assuming the pp is verified you'll get the increase in limit. |

randomebayer | 11-04-2011 03:06 PM | I managed to figure it out, i tried creating a fixed listing with more than 10 items, it directed me to a page with an error message saying i cannot create the listing because it exceeds my selling limits, it then had a link saying request to incrase selling limits, when i clicked that it outlined the steps i needed to do in order to get the limits increased (verify bank account) because i had already done these, i clicked continue, it askd me to log in my paypal details and then it said the limits has been lifted! :) |
FizzyFish | 11-05-2011 12:51 AM | That's great random - I wish I had the same experience as you. I saw your post so did the same as you but I got a different outcome.
I requested higher limit, was asked to login to PP, then asked to choose which bank account to use to verify with (either the PP linked act or I could input a new one), then clicked ok to get random amount sent. The first time i said ok to getting the amounts sent I got an error message "Could not initiate random amounts" I tried again and got the message to check my account in 2-3 days.
Now I am a bit confused. I tried this a while ago and got the same problem. I spoke to ebay on the online chat and the guy couldn't help me, in fact he ended the converstation because he couldn't help me! |
jayne.w1 | 11-05-2011 09:52 AM | Hi yes I can confirm I have just lifted my selling limits from 10 to 100. I just clicked on the link 'request higher selling limits' clicked continue' and then was asked to log into already verified paypal account and then got message- 'I can now sell 100 items'. Hope this helps. |
LionKing | 11-07-2011 07:14 AM | Hi, Will it not be a problem if I LIFT my limits from 10 to 100 within 1 month of opening my *bay account..by using the above method..?..?
But, I did this for one of my account and its been 2 months now. So for I didn't have any problem. Just wondering whether will it raise a flag if i lift it with in 90 days..?. thanks, |
