Can anybody help me or give me some info

I applied for the above at the beginning of the week on-line and i haven't heard anything as yet not even an email confirming my application

What should i do "anyone"

Keep waiting, it usually takes longer than that just to get the forms you need to sign, dont worry though it will arrive. Probably towards the middle / end of next week. I've used Halifax current accounts before and they worked ok, now you can open several savings accounts through your Halifax online current account, but those dont usually work as well although you might get them to work some way towards getting an account verified.

You could always call them and they can look the account application up with you just providing the name, address and birthdate you put on the form.

Thanks bunneh , all the paperwork arrived yesterday just got to pop into branch now and thats another account ;)

Booking an appointment with them to open an account in Branch is the best way in my opinion, they will open the account there and then, also the system tells you what accounts you have, I went in to apply for the most basic account but the system offered me the option to open the current account :)

Yeah and if you transfer a direct debit they will give you fifty quid, which is nice if you have a DD spare to transfer.
