ebay and paypal linked? please help
 

Right I have just made a new stealth ebay and paypal account, they are both linked. I have a 100 items / 3500 limit on ebay and paypal has a 1,900 yearly limit still. Need to send docs in.

2 things..

1st - if i use the ebay stealth with my dads verified paypal account and send all the money to his account - if my ebay gets suspended will they also limited his paypal (it will not be linked but will be the source of payment)

2nd - I need to send in documents, I have a nick name on paypal, similar to my first name, so should be okay for passport, however dob will not be right (i opened a business paypal an caanot remember if I entered the correct dob, i know i should have written it down) can anyone offer any advice? if worst case I could just play stupid and pretend I really dont know how it happend?

1. Yes they could block his pp from linking.

2. If you don't send matching docs, you may be in for a rough trip. Get creative and speak to folx who may help you with docs.

As for your recent posts of saying "anyone? help" and thanks guy - you only posted 24 hours (and 1 hour passed for your other post) - you need to be more patient and less demanding for other folx to chime in.

you can change your pp info to match the docs or make the docs to match the pp

date of birth,not sure bout that,suppose you could say you got mixed up but its a long shot

u know dis but always note down every last bit of info when signing up,put it somewhere safe as one day ya gonna need it

depending on the stage of the account you may not have actually added dob yet.

I am still confused on the answer to the OP's 1st question.

Does anybody know a clear answer to this? My ebay was just suspended but nothing has happened to my Paypal account. Now will it eventually be limited? Or am I safe to use it for other websites and stuff?

Not a given ( in my experience) that the paypal will be limited.

I prefer to say that the paypal should not go near ebay again. I call such paypals 'tainted'
Such a paypal could be used OFF ebay. I use x2 paypals in such a manner. :pop2:

Oh, I see. Well I will take your advice and not use this Paypal account for any ebay transactions. I will, however, use it for Flippa and other transactions. Thanks :thumb:

If a paypal account is “tainted” (linked to a suspended ebay).

Will transferring funds from the tainted account, to a new stealth pay-pal/ebay prevent linking the two together.

For example the tainted pp account purchases a live dinosaur egg from stealth pp account for $50.00. :FF:

I agree I have a 6 year old PayPal in my own personal details, the eBay got hit but I still use the PayPal account to buy stuff

Prob not recommended but I have couple of paypals I transfer money too without any probs

I just think this goes back to the original line of...read stealth...


You can do all this if you want Will but what's the point. In the long run this is going to mess up. You'll need to lift 1900 limits unless you're selling wine gums.

You need to write down all your information...and let's be blunt here. How can you claim you don't know your date of birth.

In echos to many mod posts on here: Paypal are not idiots. You have to be on the ball. I personally think it's foolish to risk your dad's account....but mostly because it's just not necessary. I know you want to be selling by the end of the day but wait a few more days, go and open another bank account, read up on stealth and it's going to be a much happier journey in the long run.

1. In my experience, although GB has found different, yes they will be linked.
2. Yes they will be linked. People don't have "nicknames" on their passports. Your info needs to match - that's the point. Completely match, everything. Docs are reviewed by a human.

Just read up a bit more.
