Pls advice on changing Ebay & Paypal registered addresses
 

Hi all ! I have opened few accounts with real info of my friends & family couple of months ago, But I haven't started selling yet, as I'll be relocating to Edinburgh from London in few weeks.

My question is if I start selling from those accounts now, would it be a problem later when I will be posting from Edinburgh which is about 400 mile from london as all addresses I have given to eBay & pp is in London. I am using 3G Dongle which changes ip address all the time, can ebay & pp track me with my ip address or I should wait until I shift and than change all the addresses to Edinburgh in all accounts.
Any advise would be really appreciated.

they are two different issues.

Your 3G Dongle can give a wide geographical range for IPs.

Your issue will be changing the actual address on the accounts.

Yes, you can change address(es). ebay accepts people move.

If you sell now, what will happen during this period if you have a return of an item? You might need to consider that.:juggle:

Thanks for suggestion GreenBean ! As these are my family & close friends addresses, So returns shouldn't be a problem & As I stock low prices stuff to sell from new accounts which is less likely to be returned.

i know what i wouldn't do

i wouldn't change the address to the Edinburgh one at all let alone let eby know anything. most likely with a new bank account you would be able to set up another legit account from that address in your own details.

if you family and friends can take your returns, i would do that and have them sent to me every month or two.

if your on a dongle now then you should be fine to start selling as long as nothing changes.
