Spending PayPal Balance

Hi guys,

I'm wanting to order some christmas presants using my paypal balance but obviously want to avoid getting linked to my old account.

The site I'm ordering from asks for a billing address & a delivery address. Am I right in thinking that I have to put the billing address as the one registered with the paypal account?

I'm wanting to have the items delivered to my house - am I going to be safe aslong as the website doesn't use paypal to print the labels? (they won't because they are large items)

Any help would be great as I'm hoping to get these ordered tonight :)
Many thanks!

Yes billing address is your pp account address.

you can add your real address to paypal gift address - but I would NOT do this, as it is banned?

forum advice would be no not do it, it is not stealth...

if it is via ebay, you can tell the seller it is a gift and to send to your address, but they may spring it on you that they want you to add the address before you pay or they may print a label, as you say.....it IS a risk, but it is one many here have taken and been ok with...up to you.

My advice, whatever method you use, vary the address from banned one, vary door number, and name, do test run and see if letter gets to you. eg mr smith 41 aspkin way, turns in to mr jones 41a aspkin way. small risk of pressies not getting to you.......royal mail is good, they deliver to the strangest addresses..couriers are not so good, so avoid anything delivered by them.....

If your already banned, in my experience, ebay and paypal dont care as far as buying accounts go, I was banned 18 months ago and made a buyer account on ebay with the same details ip, etc everything the next day, and a paypal account (the debit card added has to be diff from banned account or it wont let u add it), both are still fine for buying stuff on

In theory you could make a paypal account in your real name, and just send the funds over then spend them on that, I dunno how risky that would be though as I've never done it - but in my experience neither care about buyer accounts

That said tho whats the point in risking your ebay account for it? 2-3 days to cash out of paypal, then spending it on your debit card is completely risk free

No. no. no. They are starting to care more. Sure we could say they were not this time last year. But they went a bit postal since August. Several users have had buyers' accounts limited/suspended with a linked to banned user :fight:

look, you need the packages to get to you, BUT you need not to be linked....

so 2 ways
1/ in that 18 months someone else is living at banned address different name same address

2/vary name and door number slightly...if your road has 2 postcodes as it is long, there is another option (yay royal mail) another good one is new plaque outside door, and tell postie, business or house name but no door number......

...know the risks of not receiving and getting linked with these options, we cannot predict an outcome.......
