| | | stevem802002 | 12-04-2011 06:18 AM | Getting new bank account Ebay kindly suspended my account, it was coming, i ignored there warnings - the final straw for them was when i listed some psn / xbox cards as 'I could email the codes or post them at additional £1.50'
Ok so, to get back (I dont want to, but there isnt really a 1 stop shop alternative, ebid is a waste of space) Im going to get a new bank account, which Is no bad thing as ill get £100 cashback + 12 months interest free overdraft + 5% if your in credit!
Thing is, i still have £50 left in fees to pay EB - ive tried to send via paypal, but of course PAYPAL DOESNT WORK! duh
To switch to the new BA i need to transfer all direct debits etc...So if i trans to a new BA, trans the DD over, pay fees, THEN cancel DD would this flag up anything?
Or, could i cancel the DD now, before getting the new BA, and use my now old BA to make a one time payment? |
| GreenBean | 12-04-2011 06:51 AM | Welcome to the forum :)
Yeah, cancel the direct debit & use the old bank account for the fees.
That way your new bank account will have no link to anything suspended & therefore trouble:pop2:
Start fresh. |
Welcome to the forums - all the best. |
| mkr2204 | 12-04-2011 08:03 PM | Cancel the direct debit first mate, have you actully checked weather you owe fees? my last account I actully ended up profiting on the fees as they canceled my listings (30 day buy it nows with loads of items already sold), as they canceled the listing, all fees were refunded and ebay refunded all my card payments for fees over the month beforehand |
| stevem802002 | 12-10-2011 08:38 AM | When opening the new bank account, would paypal / ebay check the new bank accounts registrant address details? Is it ok to use the same address as that used on my paypal account ?
Ive read most of the stealth guide, the 'getting a new address' part not sure about - only option is to rent a mailbox, or use 'any old address' - is there anyway to use the same address, but change it slightly, so a 'a' after the house number, maybe 'smith street' is changed to 'smith's street' or 'smith road', the postcode will stay the same so hmmmm, would this be enough?
Hmmm... i have a name above the door of the house ie 'St. Edwards'
So would haveing 'St Edwards House, same address as before work? |
| durdajan | 12-10-2011 10:18 AM | if your postman is your friend, you can write whatever you want, make him be your friend) |

Ok so going from
10 Smith Street
City
County
Post Code
to
10a Smith Street
City
County
Post Code
Would be all fine?
Also, not sure on changing the IP address 0 mine is dynamic, but in the stealth guide, the changing the MAC address on the router didnt work as I have a SKY Router so its im guessing blocked.
So, If i register at a internet cafe, can i then just log onto paypal / ebay via a new seperate user account on my computer (just in case) and be ok? Is it JUST the IP address when registering that they go off? |

If you do then do it right, try not and cut corners other wise it will cost you.
The address is really close, i'm sure you can do better than that, is you stealth name really really different because if not you will likely be banned very soon, When laid out it will look too much like you , not very stealth at all
Can you not just buy a dongle or tether your phone ?
sky, use a program to change the m.a.c, refresh dns, turn your computer off, turn your router off for about 2 mins, restart router then computer and it should be changed. |

best way to change sky ip, turn your router off at night, when you wake up in the morning, you have a new ip. also been said that 4 hours is enough to change it.
stay away from the internet cafe. think about how many people have been banned from there.
the address is OK. it will not last forever. but it will work. |
| mkr2204 | 12-11-2011 07:21 PM | £20 for a vodaphone dongle from PC world with £10 credit on it, new IP everytime you sign on it is alot less hassle than messing around with router |
| stevem802002 | 12-12-2011 05:30 PM | yeah my ip address is dynamic so so not sure if it will use the same ip.
Ok so ill choose 10a as the house number, my house has a name above the door so can add that in, think ill send out different addresses and see which ones come back.
With my bank account, i guess i dont have to change it too much. - going |
you dont change anything with bank account!!!
address sounds good,see what works
do a test like you mentioned, send a letter to yourself
check your ip addresses anytime you swap user accounts to log into a separate account, always check to make sure the ip has changed, keep everything separate
dynamic ip means it should change every time you turn router off and on
also sky broadband should change when you turn router off,no need to mess about with m.a.c...no need to wait overnight either
all the best |
| Stigger | 12-13-2011 11:23 AM | make sure the name is nice and visible and use that, no need for number, that way everything will match nice.
it helps to get things delivered to the PP registered address, PP check that. |
| stevem802002 | 12-15-2011 03:19 PM | yeh will use for bank ebay and pp
St. Barrys (all new)
10a(a - new) Smith Road (would using 'street' make a difference?)
Same City
Same County
Same Postcode |
| whatnow | 12-21-2011 04:01 PM | open a few bank accounts then keep some with £50 quid in that way if it happens again your good to go |
it is the door number and postcode that need to be slightly altered
best to use a clean address that you have access to,or a p.o.box but if not the address variation can work | | All times are GMT -5. The time now is 07:43 AM. | |
