Buying an eBay account from a friend
 

Hello lovely people and merry xmas!!

Just a quick question on your opinions/methodology on the following.

** I want to buy an ebay account from a friend.
she has 2 ebay accounts attached to 1 ppal.
She wants to keep account A and sell account B
They are in her real details, not stealth
Account A is from 2011 and Account B is from 2006
I will need to attach Account B to a new paypal account so i can withdraw to my bank**

How can we get around the issues which might prevent me from selling on account B in future?
Best way to do it?

pretty easy, just remove the paypal in the one account and attach another paypal to it... I have done this before, no problems..

What about her name and address and DOB on ebay Account B?

Her details on Account B matches ebay Account A (which she is going to keep).

Shes only selling me eBay Account B so I need a way to dissect it from her paypal account AND **possibly** change the details around incase ebay Account A gets banned, then it will be linked to Account B which will also get banned

you can attach a PP in good standing to a eby that is in good standing, details do not have to match.

So if i dont change her ebay details and add it to a fresh paypal account I should be okay to sell.
But what if ebay Account A gets banned then I will too?

details do not have to match to attach and sell.....but I kinda tried it, although they were different country mismatch, so may have been worse, and they sold but did not last....3/6 mths tops

thats kind of a big mismatch though.

we are not talking about missmatch or what not, you can add a good paypal that has not been attached to an eby account before even if that eby account has had a PP account attached before as long as that pp did not go down or owe money, nothing wrong with it at all.

where does it state that the pp account details must match the eby details ?

So in theory....I could have ebay1 and ebay2 attached to ppal1.
The names/address for ebay1 and ebay2 would be mr fred smith 123 north road, halifax, UK

Now lets say 6 months later both ebay1 and ebay2 get blacklisted from ebay but the ppal account is still in good working order....could I then make 2 new ebay accounts with the names Mrs Linda Jones Flat 123 South Street, Liverpool, UK and start selling again??

oh yeah just re-read, so you are changing the details of the eb and making a new paypal.

It would be less complicated if, your friend did not keep eb A. I mean, they were a pair, and then suddenly one changes address and one stays the same, think few of us would know exactly the consequences of that. You are talking about if the both go down, but what if one does and the other goes down cos of someone elses mistake and ruins their business.....I would not do it, particularly as ebay are easy to make, it is paypal that need a bank and are harder to sort out limits etc, ok eb need aging, but this is a poor scenario, given you are able to make an acc easily.....do the make and age thing, have a few in the nursery....

Your next scenario is riskier, we were talking about paypal that is in good-standing - but one that has been previously attached to a NARU ebay, I have not tried it but I do not think it is a good idea. You could try it out but I would worry I could receive money in to it and get hit with a limitation.

2006 oh, thought that was the reason, aged acc...thats too precious to mess up, only one of you needs to have both IMO

This doesn't sound like a good idea. Even if you can attach a new Payp to the eB account all 4 of those accounts are going to be linked and you know what happens if one goes down. Although an eB in good standing with real details from 2006 is pretty solid.

I could persuade her to sell me both of them and give her 2 stealth accounts for free so she can add her bank to it .... hmmmm

i have similiar kind of issue. actually i want to link my cousin,s eba account with my paypal coz my cousin aint using his eba account. my paypal account was linked with my old eba account. but now i removed the link, and also trying to close my old eba account. because eba restricted my account and i cant sell more than 10 items. what you people recomend as i asked many people and they said that you can do that without any problems.

people who sell items on ebay. one of them said that i am using my girl friend paypal acount. is it possible or they will restrict me?

@aleen, my recommendation would be for you to go stealth and create new account linkfree. All of this removal link, close this, restricted that - way too much mud in your process. Start at the basics and work up.

I did that before , meaning unlinking b and pp and link pp to a new eb, different data.

worked for a few weeks then went down... at the time didn't figure out why, but after reading this I think now I have some clues... thanks you

its not the same as i was talking about, what i was talking about is actually allowed.


Also, noticed something mentioned about changing name details in eby.

has anyone actually tried that in the last 18 months ?
