| | | Bunneh | 02-02-2012 08:58 AM | Withdrawing from lloyds Tsb? hi guys,
last Wednesday i did a withdraw from my verified paypal account to my Lloyds current account. I paid £5 for the faster withdrawal but it was still pending until Saturday came and it went to completed, but Tuesday came and it it was still not in my current account with Lloyds, then when i checked my paypal account and it had been returned to paypal??
I dont understand why though because my paypal account is in the SAME name as my bank account and i received the deposits when i verified my paypal account, so it was definitely my bank account.
Does anybody have anything they can suggest :( |
i think someone said before they dont deal with paypal or something
or have banned them |

I'm not aware that banks can actually refuse to deal with any particular companies, very odd if that were the case. Why would they not accept valid transfers from any organisation? |
| dave321 | 02-02-2012 09:33 AM | I had a long standing business bank account with Lloyds and a PP account set up with same details but the £5 fast withdrawal would never work, it would always be returned to PP in 7-10 days, when I approach Lloyds they could not explain why:noidea: |
| NoneOther | 02-02-2012 10:55 AM | £5 fast transfer fee I will never understand why people pay p/p for the privilege of sending your money as it is invariably never any quicker for the vast majority of people. Just another p/p rip off |

| dave321 | 02-02-2012 01:54 PM | normal withdrawal works fine with Lloyds, only issue was with express withdrawl.
as NoneOther states why should we have to pay to get our money RIP OFF |
| Imakemoney | 02-02-2012 01:58 PM | AVOID Lloyds all together guys not good with stealth - plenty of other banks out there |
| GrannyT | 02-02-2012 02:21 PM | Lloyds TSB do NOT like mismatched name withdrawals. I had my bank account shut down once because of this. I have never used Lloyds since - and for this game never would. |
| Imakemoney | 02-02-2012 02:21 PM | Numerous threads on the forum about peoples bad experiences with Lloyds when names dont match on PayPal & bank account. Ask Cortex he had a very bad experience with them.
Actually i know quite a few people that have had their accounts closed with Lloyds due to this. |
| Jack London UK | 02-02-2012 10:56 PM | I totally disagree with all of you.
My Lloydss (plural) works very well and had done for lots of months.
I spent many hours reading and researching and found out if you know how to work the Lloyds accounts properly, they work a charm. I am proof of that.
Dont believe what people tell you until you have seen for yourself.
Oh. I forgot to say that my Lloyds transfers are in within a day and a half via normal transfer. |

i think it wise for people in general to follow the advise above about finding other banks first
i mean if your going to open a bank for PP then why go in the direction that could possibly cause problems like it has for so many when your probally a couple of keystroks or steps from one that does not. |
I second Tiswoz on that, why looking for hurdles while one should avoid it:> |
so if some ppl say lloyds is okay and some not, maybe it could be to do with how different the name is
e.g john smith is your bank name
john smithies is your paypal name
that could pass perhaps
but if the paypal name was frank johnson then mebe not
would be good to get some feedback from ppl this happened too
was the names slightly different or very different, problems or not
thanks |

I have said before somewhere , Some lloyds current accounts do not work with PP full stop, these are the accounts they usually give new customers.
i once spent most of the afternoon in a branch to find that out.
I think its down to the individual branch managers if information is shared with PP or not, thats why some stealths are working and some not.
i know when i created my Lloyd's stealth, i added the accounts as j brown and thats how the money is transfered, but it is not possible any more with New PP's because it always get transfered as the FULL name now. |

I got two Lloyds current accounts before Xmas,- first I added with different paypal and bank name, and it was removed from paypal after 2 days. After some suggestions here, I added second account with the same name and all details on bank and Paypal , and anyway - this also was removed! |
okay so we know tizwoz does research these things so and as was said
why choose lloyds when ppl are saying to avoid, does not make sense
plenty of other options out there, god bless you all |
