can you only open 1 case or mutiple on ebay for a item

for example if i were to open a case for item not received and the item arrives a few days later not as described, can the item not recive case be closed down and open a item not described on the same item.
any experiences on this

Yes it can.

Not automatically, a call to CS usually solves it though.
