Is it safe to change account address
 

Hi all, I recently moved house and my stealth account was a variation of my old address. Is it safe to change my stealth account address to a variation of my new address? Would it set off any alarm bells at Eb and Pp? Just I don't want stuff being returned to the wrong address...

People move house all the time - do it properly and it shouldn't be an issue - why do you need to vary it if it is a new address? And why so many returns?

Hi I don't usually get returns I just refund and tell em to keep it. I'm just thinking if I get a return by the PO, The new address is going to have a eB & Pp account set up on it with my real..ish name, phone, bank IP etc. I know the owner of the old address and I don't want anything going there that I can't explain, when I print out PP PO labels it puts the address on the PO postage label... I do t think the new owner will grasp Stealth he'll just think I'm doing sommat dodgy from his house..

You know the kind of person that doesn't use Eb and just thinks you have been chucked off for doing sommat illegal or wrong and doesn't understand that Eb are a shower of sh**!

If you must use Ebays labels instead of printing out print to PDF instead.

Then construct a page using Quark or even Publisher, import the labels into that and put a box over the return address, put your address in the box and print out as you normally print your labels - problem solved

if you move house why cant you change your adress to your real new address ?

if your are buying stuff , update your details with the new address and get your stuff sent there , this is the easiest way

dont think you answered granny's ? although you say you just refund, still, why so many neg experiences?

anyway, i just have all my returns sent to a po box from all my accounts. if someone wants to return something i just give them the address

Hi i never said I get loads of returns. I don't want ANY going to the old address so even one would be one too many. I have had maybe 2 refunds out if 260+ sales, as I said I know the owner of my old address and they are well how can I put it... A pain in the arse!! Lol. My new address is going to have a Eb account with real details and a stealth with variations. I will just change the return address so if the PO return owt they come back to me and not the old address.

i tried to change mine for a return and as soon as i did they limited my selling indefinitely. I presume it was something to do with that, i tried to ask why and they claimed it was for the protection of the buyers and gave me the runaround with no real explanation.

I mean change it as Granny T explained on the label only..

I would contact the EB live chat and ask them how to do it ect then if

anything does happen you have proof of a conversation with the idiots at EB to back

you up if they limit your account ect.

Avoid moving the address if you can, your new address can be a new account.

Listen to gt or add a po box or something.
