Dear,
We're writing to tell you about an urgent situation that may affect your account.

----------------------------------------------------------------
I got the above e-mail from ebay days ago it literally says xxxAlertDetailsxxx and that is it nothing else to say what it's about however when I tried to list it says my selling account is limited but I can buy but need to read buying guidelines?? WTF I have no cases in the resolution centre and nothing bought which hasn't been paid for either!! I have had no problems with anything I've sold....I thought it was just spam until I tried to sell...:S |
| imjustme | 03-11-2012 05:13 AM | MC011 is usually some kind of restriction or suspension. Seems that the eBay representative didn't select the option correctly or something when sending out the email. I would let that account sit for a few months and not touch it, perhaps they'll forget about it. |
| Thankful | 03-11-2012 09:38 AM | Yeah imjustme is right i think - it does sound like someone is messing around with you here - let the account cooldown in the meantime make another. |
| seanws30 | 03-11-2012 01:29 PM | is this all the email said or are you omitting the body of the message? |

| NoneOther | 04-30-2012 06:34 PM | MC011 is a generic ID limitation I think.
Have you logged on to your account from another computer or location recently?
They may suspect they your account has been compromised or had unauthorised access.
However looking more closely at the email e/b would not address a message to you as userid and xxxxxxxxxx@gmail.com but by your user ID and full registered name.
Were there any links in the email that you were asked to click through.
Could be a phishing email |
| GreenBean | 04-30-2012 06:40 PM | MC011 means they dont 'quite' like you.
Maybe nothing will happen or there may be a further restriction.
Could be checking the account
Pot luck of sorts :pop2: |
| NoneOther | 04-30-2012 06:41 PM | GB have a look at the way the message is addressed. |

| marjram71 | 04-30-2012 07:03 PM | @NoneOther: I only used my home pc to log this account. Sorry about the username and email address I put it here, I just put (x) to hide my username and email add and I'm sure its not a phishing site.
@GreenBean™
After 24 hours I list my first item eb called me and ask about my eb username and email add, they also ask what items I listed and I answered all of them correctly and that's it and I received this message I think after 2 to 3 days. |
| NoneOther | 04-30-2012 07:13 PM | OK, As GB says there is something about your account they don't like.
Time will tell I suppose. |
| newjerseymax | 04-30-2012 09:03 PM | Is it in ebay messages also or email only?
If email only then sounds like phishing scam... |
| marjram71 | 04-30-2012 09:42 PM | I received both messages in gmail and ebay |
| ebabe | 05-01-2012 06:40 AM | Sounds like a phishing email, did you get the message in your Gmail inbox or through your ebay messages |
| NoneOther | 05-01-2012 06:52 AM | Look up :attention: |

Could be a phishing email | Its probably a ⊗⊗⊗⊗ email I suspect.. |
| oompaloompa | 05-05-2012 09:07 AM | to see if it is phishing, press reply (dont actually send it) and often in the browser you see the return address is different, as the original got spoofed. never clcik a link if unsure, always go direct to paypal or ebay, that way they do not capture your login.... |

| That is what I received from ebay today. That's not a fishing one. when I try to list, ebay told me to verify my information and follow the email they send me, but the email they send is just a sh1t.
My auction listings are still live, I break my selling limitation before receive this email. Is it the root cause why I was restricted from selling now?
@3rdRockFromTheSun: what is the status of your account now?
Cheers |
Have not seen 3rdRockfromtheSun in long time... |
| t1tm1t | 07-31-2012 04:31 AM | I got the answer:
Hello, <my ebay ID>
We've noticed your account is linked to another account that's been restricted. Because of this connection, you're unable to sell with your new account. This selling restriction may be lifted once you've established a reputation as a successful seller and also by resolving any issues with the associated account. |
So you got linked - not good. |
| bell_leela | 08-08-2012 01:03 PM | Mc011 I just got this email form eBay after I listed the item for one day.

I was waiting for the listing end and sent the first item to customer after got paid. I listed from my own computer and my iPod also.
What should I do next? Should I stop listing to prevent suspend?
