Account limitation

I've been trying to lift my PayPal account limitation since dec, now have started court action against PayPal and fos complaint process....I have been customer (loosely) (as they certainly don't have very good customer service) since 2003 And always paid fees, few disputes but always refunded, positive feedback at 98%, yet cus I managed to sell a few apple products within short period of time they thought I was causing a risk?! Therefore placed a limitation that never allowed me to even appeal, I sent over receipts as proof of original items and not stolen etc, yet nothing.

They have constantly ignored emails.calls even being abusive back during calls, and left a 180 day hold on nearly £1500 pounds, yet they are more than happy to allow eBay to take their fees?!...any advice or help to get at my money would be appreciated...

You can't as you agreed to their T&C's when you signed up for the account and probably accepted every amendment to those T&C's over the years by virtue of the fact that you did not close the account by way of disagreement over said amendments.

If you take them to court you may well win but it could take 6 months to get it there by which time your funds would be available.

Selling high end, high value brands on an account of any age is 'high risk' as far as they are concerned and if this was not your usual 'selling range' then that risk is greatly increased in their eyes.

This forum is to advise people how to get back on to selling on e/b unfortunately not to advise on how to get your money out of p/p or lift indefinite limitations.

Why? Because 99.99% of the time it can't be done.

Good luck with the court case, I hope you get a result.

There is precedent for this court action. I placed in one thread a link about a woman (I think) in Milton Keynes (I think) who took Paypal to the count court on exactly this point . . . . . and WON!!!

Don't hold your breath but I will see if I can find it

Yes I remember that story, wasn't she a solicitor or a legal secretary?

She did win and got her money but not her account reinstated which she probably didn't want anyway.
