Hi,
I just updated from personal to premier account.
In the welcoming email PP states:"Complete Direct Debit Agreement. We are legally required to ensure that you complete the Direct Debit Agreement in order to link your bank account to your PayPal account for instant purchases and bank transfers. "

I have not enter my bank account yet.
I think once you have link your bank account PP also requires you to able to Direct Debit so that for ex in case of refund to a customer, PP can automatically take money from your account. If this is the case then they will see the real name.

Maybe I misunderstanding but I would appreciate a clarification from some experts.

They can't see the name on the bank account from setting up the DD alone.

They can only see it if you allow them to draw funds from the bank account.
