Not paying eBay fees?

I had a paypal that went down a little while back and the Ebay account it was linked to had the fees paid for it throught that paypal, now since the paypal has gone down obviously cant pay fees that way, now the ebay account in question is a stealth account, i.e no real name address number DOB etc and I cant link a new paypal to that ebay account as that will go straight down also, so the ebay account is useless! can you just not bother paying the fees? and wait for the ebay account to get taken down for non paying fees, or will they 1 take it down and try and chase you up??........if so how can they chase you up?.............the fees in question are £25.

Also im gona probably pay the fees anyway but I was just wondering if you or anyone could get away with not paying them.

Thanks.

We don't discuss ways to avoid paying eBay fees on this forum. The general consensus of opinion is you used their service so pay their fees.

The best way to pay them is via a VCC like Entropay or 3V.

You used their service, you pay the fees. Simple as that.

Hugh Jass 03-26-2012 11:56 AM

...but what if they charged you too much and no one listens to you?

arronb2009 03-27-2012 08:35 AM

well im not going to pay untill they release my money because they never gave a valid reason nor did they explain why they are holding it, we shall see what happens.

Yes I used their service and played by the rules within the terms and conditions but they decide to shut my acc without reason?.well i told them on the phone I aint paying thier fees, and just like them I gave them no reason.

If ebay and paypal wana play silly buggers then so can I. Simples

NoneOther 03-27-2012 08:49 AM

They are not playing silly buggers, its all in their T&C's which you agreed to when you signed up for the accounts, I doubt whether you took the time to read them which is besides the point.

BTW In case you haven't noticed from all the posts on here they never give a specific reason for limiting an account but that doesn't negate your obligation to pay for a service you have used.

Taking this attitude - you get what you deserve.

Do you have an eb or pp stealth account?

NoneOther 03-27-2012 09:55 AM

I have several thanks.

How is your question relevant?

Hugh Jass 03-27-2012 10:00 AM

...and you still think you're walking on T&C lines not a single step away, right?

NoneOther 03-27-2012 10:06 AM

No I don't.

I fully understand the implications of using stealth alongside e/b & p/p T&C's

However I do not and would not renege on paying for services that I have used with any company which is a totally different issue.

Well stated NoneOther - OP has had some advice put out - he/she can make the final decision. 25 quid is not a dire amount of money...at least, I hope it isn't for the OP.

Hugh Jass 03-27-2012 10:45 AM

I'm not saying OP shouldn't pay the fees. However, Terms of Use is Terms of Use no matter what part of it someone is in violation of.

NoneOther 03-27-2012 10:55 AM

Even with stealth details you are not untraceable no matter how clever you think you are.

There is always a trail and if someone wants to find you badly enough they will.

If you give them no reason to come look for you i.e. by paying whats due then you can be stealth to your hearts content with no fear of who may come knocking on your door one day.

In the UK right now companies will set the dogs on you for £10, FACT.

It's tough out there and every penny is wanted by someone especially if they're owed.

Killuminati 03-27-2012 01:50 PM

Noneother is absoutly right.

Dont take the thread off topic because you have a grip with ebay.

Make your own thread in Subscribers.

The OP is not realizing their own silliness for creating troubles for themselves for such a low amount of money.
