Just had 2003 and 2005 eb accs reinstated

Hi there

Yesterday I had a spare hour and spent some time on chat with eb and ended up with 2 quite old accounts reinstated. I'm now after some advice as to how best to use them...

Is there any special advantage with these accounts as I have read that US pre 2007 eb accs do not need ppal attached. Is this the same for my UK eb accs?

Both were previously linked to a my original 'real' ppal account which burned in 2005.

Thanks in advance..

I'm not too sure as it was obviously a long time ago. The person that reinstated one of the accounts for me mentioned that it had a 12 month suspension. I presume the other must have been the same.

I'm wondering if these accounts could be more useful than new ones?

so the paypal that was linked got burned..hmmm that is a shame because making matching paypal to add will risk it.

I would unlink the old paypal, the unlink is not a true unlink but I mean remove it under ebay settings plus under auctions on paypal.

I would then change address on ebay, then make new paypal to match address and add. No idea how it will work out with paypal though, as the new paypal is being attached to an ebay that had a banned paypal linked to it...hopefully the years that have passed plus new address will work in your favour....

Unfortunately, you have to accept PP on the .co.uk site, whether your account is 15 days or 15 years old.

Though, even if they did allow merchant accounts to be used, how many NPB's do you think there would be, after eBay's brainwashed everyone into thinking PayPal is the only safe way to pay.

Even saw a collection only listing the other day citing PP only as it's "safer"!

Will be safe when they want tracking lol!

You have to work with the eb accounts as if they were new. The fact that they already have banned pp accounts could be an issue to work with...
