Paypal request for account type
 

£200 left until I hit the wall with the receiving limit. but i got this notice on my paypal today saying...

Please tell us more about account...

3 options...

Sole trader account etc..etc...

Which do i choose here??


It looks like after the £1,900 you have to reg as a business account.

My business is that I sell DJ packs that I create from loops etc.. that I produce myself, I'm worried I will be asked to provide invoices of my items I'm selling but its myself that makes them nobody else.

What will paypal ask to lift my limits,

I know standard forms Driving license & Address docs

Will this be enough to lift?

My stealth account has been going 8 months strong 83 feedback 100%

You don't need to register as a business, you can still choose private account and the standard docs should be enough to raise the limits

ok so do i fill in everything in the sole trader fields page?

No, you can keep it as a private account you do not have to change to a business account if you don't want to you only need to give them basic info on what you sell

After sole trader i have to complete this.......

Will entering these details not automatically upgrade my account anyway?

Seems like it would if you choose to continue.

Once the process is done you should be ok.

They will still do the verification thing to your details though.

I just did this now. Filled it in as a sole trader - put down real stuff in regards to money received and earnt. Guess if this new account is going to work I may as well try and be as legit as possible in other areas.

Then it went through the please wait, verifying thing...and then said they couldn't verify me and asked for docs which I duly uploaded.

The account is still live and can do everything apart from being closed, just waiting for a reply now

Luckily i had this pre planed and have sent Driving license and virgin media bill.

Though stupidly I have just noticed, (after havin docs for a few days)

my virgin media account number is 123456789

Do you think they will notice this????

I'm so stupid after studying the doc before sending to them I never ever noticed this.

Freakin out big time, my account has been 100% sweet so far, dsr's over 100 5 rated etc.. no complaints and that.

also from yesterday I have sent 2 payments to bank and they are still pending status??? which is strange as they usually change to completed within 20 minutes.


Could this be the end?

...I have missed out KEY information before on certain docs and got away with it. Only noticed weeks later when I was tidying up and admiring my handiwork (or lack of!)

As an update to what I said. My act is now f*d. They want to depart ways.

Used same docs that worked before! Very strange.

In the future I will hold off as long as possible before submission :hail:

Premier is fine, no need to upgrade unless you have a specific need to do so.

I dont get it - I had the same issue as FizzyFish.

Sent in the same documents as used before and mine was rejected aswell...

How does that work!?

It's not always docs that are the reason for the account being shut down.

Remember for p/p it is about risk, other factors are taken into their assessment.

I would say that they probably take the decision to close an account BEFORE they request any info. For them the additional info you then supply only adds to their database.
