Is Entropay reliable way to pay seller fees?

When making a fresh account would Entropay's Virtual Visa be a smart choice to enter as a way of paying for seller fees? Or will it lead to problems?

Would appreciate help.

NoneOther 05-09-2012 01:56 PM

Yes it's fine, used by many on here.

rsot 05-09-2012 03:50 PM

Still works for UK quite well.

moneyhustler88 05-09-2012 04:50 PM

i disagree..i've used entropay on two accounts and it's instantly been limited, I have reason to believe that Paypal know these come from entropay, so in the UK i wouldn't advice doing it. Go out and get yourself a 3v prepaid card instead, they work and i've used them with no problems.

NoneOther 05-09-2012 04:53 PM

Of course they know it's e/pay, the card numbers tell them that.

If your accounts were instantly limited then I would guess it was something other than e/pay that caused it.

I have several accounts with e/pay cards attached to p/p and have never had an issue in fact the latest was only set up on Monday, I even use the same card to pay e/b fees.

ryanba 05-09-2012 05:57 PM

Entropay works great for me, when I confirm it it also got rid of my £1900 limit :-D, that made my day.

eternity4u 05-09-2012 05:58 PM

No problems at all, does the job nicely:clap:

GreenBean 05-09-2012 06:04 PM

:thumb: entropay is aces.

Just used x3 cards for fees with no problems.

rsot 05-09-2012 08:15 PM

Different story (on the most part) for North Am-based pp accounts.

GreenBean 05-10-2012 12:25 AM

Indeed it is different.

entropay contributed to that by their miscalculation of the market and the product end use.

Not relevant to this thread.:amen:

Thought the £1900 limit was based on public records NOT confirming VCC?

Yep i use entropay just fine on 6 accounts.
You must be doing something else wrong for it not to work

bigbill 05-10-2012 03:47 AM

@hdavey10, it is, maybe the eb was registered with details which matched electoral register..?

arshavin 05-11-2012 02:07 AM

why are you guys using entropay cards to pay your fees? cant you just use paypal?

rsot 05-11-2012 09:46 AM

Someone has not read the mega thread about avoiding use of PP for paying fees...=)

That being said, lot of folx do use PP to pay fees.

clapclap 05-11-2012 10:06 AM

Ive used ep and PP but i always just use my PP account now to pay my fees. I

personally think if you are trying to act like a new seller you would pay your fees with

your nice new PP account.

BUT WHATEVER YOU DO MAKE SURE THERE IS ENOUGH FUNDS IN YOUR PP ACCOUNT TO

PAY THE FEES. NEVER LET PP TAKE MONEY FROM YOUR BANK ACCOUNT

Let's not confuse the issue chaps. ;)

Confirming a VCC expuse number along with a landline phone verification used to be the way to lift the receiving limit on a UK paypal......before the dark times....before the document checks.... :p

Also, Paypal is perfectly okay to pay your fees with so long as you're careful and follow the points that clapclap has made.

clapclap 05-11-2012 02:43 PM

And just to add i have in the past paid half of my fees with a VCC and half with PP. So it does work a number of ways

rsot 05-11-2012 02:58 PM

True - avoid the bank grab

Thankful 05-11-2012 03:01 PM

I use my PayPal balance to pay for my fees & use and entropay as a backup payment incase i don't have enough on the P/P balance for any reason.

Entropay does cost money when you transfer money from your bank to their vcc service - not much however as they pennies make pounds :thumb:

moneyhustler88 05-13-2012 09:35 AM

i wouldnt use entropay..personally. their customer service is terrible and had alot of problems with them..

What problems have you come across?

Didn't even think you'd need their customer service - you had an issue and called them up or something?

What were your problems?

We're not forcing you to use entropay. It just happens to work for the majority of UK users.

If Entropay was a child - I'd adopt it.

I pay by paypal balance make a one time payment and always make sure you have enough funds in your paypal account

rsot 05-15-2012 09:42 AM

Nice emoticon Thankful

moneyhustler88 05-15-2012 07:59 PM

Firstly..entropay's rates of conversion are more unproportional than paypal in my opinion..secondly I added 2 VCCs to two seperate stealths and instant limitation and PP asking for more ID. when i approached entropay Customer service, all i got was automated responses and i never got a paypal withdrawal amount on the transaction history to verify it, and the customer service never responded. the worst company i've ever dealt with (aside paypal). When i called paypal, i was told my limitation was due to my credit card..therefore due to entropay. I have reason to believe paypal know entropay cards in the UK. Therefore i have my reasons for not only not recommending them but disliking them!
Personally i love 3v, its so much better, with no fees and no problems!

NoneOther 05-16-2012 05:36 AM

Yes p/p UK know all about e/pay cards but they seem to work for 99% of users so as far as I know there are no issues with adding them to p/p, in fact I have just done so this morning with no problems at all.

Do not you get 21 days hold when you add EP card to your paypal account if the payment is coming from EB?

NoneOther 05-16-2012 05:58 AM

Most new accounts have 21 day holds applied to them as a matter of course now, regardless of how the account is set up.

GreenBean 05-16-2012 06:10 AM

:focus:

If you want to talk about 21 day holds make a thread on the topic please.

ZoonVoo 05-16-2012 06:15 AM

I am sorry GB I was just making a point "from my experiences " using EP on EB or PP leading simply to account selling limits or 21 days hold, I was not discussing the 21 days issue :)

moneyhustler88 05-16-2012 12:39 PM

i agree with zoonvoo
