What's Up With Buyers This Month!!!!!!

I had it with buyers this month

On several accounts, i have non buyers. One account has like 15 buyers non payers.
One of the buyers bought all my inventory.

The other 5 accounts, i have non paying buyers ....in total in 3 weeks. Had 50 non paying buyers!!!

So annoying :ahhhhhh:

SUVE 06-17-2012 09:32 AM

You might want to re set your bidding preferences - this might have an effect.

eternity4u 06-17-2012 09:39 AM

SUVE- I did, thanks. but guess buyers think they can relax, have coffee and feel they can do anything..

SUVE 06-17-2012 09:42 AM

I am sure there must be clues to the buyer type (i.e zero feedbacks ??? Bad feedback history ???) to reducing this many non-paying bidders.

EDITS:

How about stipulating the immediate payment required option available on EB ???

:ranger:

Why no use the BIN facility, It could be one of your competitor buying all your inventory and not paying...........

I used to have that problem and just gave up and used the immediate payment facility. It is very annoying

golden_monkey 06-17-2012 02:16 PM

yeeeeeeeeeeeeep i've had a nice string of non-paying people too. Nothing says they should be this way either, lots of solid feedback.

poke them a little... i find some people just forget they bid, some will even go 3 days into a nonpaying case then pay.

crafty1 06-17-2012 02:48 PM

And some will give you the same excuses that everyone seems to use......

Like my son/daughter bided by mistake OR Entered the wrong amount in error and the list goes on and on......

ovidiu 06-17-2012 02:55 PM

I remember something like this about a year ago. I think it was a competitor who set up ⊗⊗⊗⊗ accounts to mess with other sellers. He would go around, use BIN or bidding on all software listings from a targeted seller, and then not pay. This went on for a while, and several different software sellers were targeted.

Or as I received this from this winning bidder.

"hi there.I am just being honest its was a spontaneous bid without thinking. Is it possible to cancel it.pls reply back thanks2"

I cancelled the transaction, re-listed item and did not forget to put a few words in listing as 'Re-listing because of this non-serious, non-payer, time waster so please bid only if you are really init'.

I am not a big time seller and that's quite a situation for me dealing with transactions cancellation and non-payer cases.

moneyhustler88 06-18-2012 01:12 AM

surely you get the fees back just send them a cancellation? perhaps just weirdos attracted to your items?:pound::laugh:

I am also getting a larger number of stiffs recently.

And the filing for npb used to scare them to death but appears not any longer.

crafty1 06-18-2012 12:43 PM

I just don't know why people do it.

StealthAssassin 06-18-2012 02:29 PM

This post sums up my June as well.

I have 2 active accounts with over 100fb each and both are over a year old. Between both accounts, up until this month, I only has 2 non paying bidders total.

Now, I have had over 10 this month from users with as few as 11fb to some with over 1,000. My latest claims she has no idea how she bid on my item and can't afford it. I'm thinking about filing an unpaid item claim anyway.

If I cancel the transaction instead of filing a claim, do I get my fees refunded?

I got a good one, my 9 year old bid on this item for his Dad and he does not need one.

Please cancel as I am not obligated to purchase this item.

So my response was not my usual nice self.

You mean to tell me your 9 year old has access to your ebay account?
Sorry, but all bids no matter who bid on them are a binding contract between you and I and I expect payment in full. Given access to your ebay account to a 9 year old needs to be changed.

It worked as the payment came through rather quickly.

I normally do not do this but felt a need to nip this demanding buyer real quick.

Yes, just don't make a habit out of cancelling transactions, you'll raise a flag.

GTB 06-18-2012 03:47 PM

well if this happens to me i just send a letter to the address

with a pop up saying "pay now b*tch"

If there weirdos do not send a cancellation, i have done that to a few people and send them messages and they don't even reply and cancel the cancellation and you dont get your final value fee, its better to just open a case against them...... i got sick of it and i put all my items as immediate payment requested, i actually lose more money doing it the other way around.

GTB 06-18-2012 05:06 PM

what i do is wait a few days

send a polite message

give em another few days

no response i open a case

and hope for the best they dont see that as an act of war and leave a neg

i use the same approach, most do end up paying though, the only good thing is they cant leave feedback if they dont actually pay

jnveed 06-19-2012 08:15 PM

I still remember this buyer who did not even bother to respond to all of those polite notes sent to her asking her to complete check out or. After a whole week, I sent cancel the Transaction request as I assumed that the reason she wasn't responding could be that she was a bit ashamed so I thought not to put her in more trouble by opening a case and so forth. She never cancelled the transaction and I closed the case after 7 days and got my fee back. Only a few weeks later, she left a negative on my account, saying 'Seller cancelled the transaction after I won the auction'. My respond 'I cancelled because you never paid, you total time-waster'. Went to this eBay representative whining but all he did was to apolgise that there's nothing he could do and I was supposed to open the case against the buyer which would have disabled the buyer to leave any feedback at all as well as as letting me have my fee back too.

Now I do send cancel the transaction request but only with buyer's consent (with a heavy heart of course as I know I have to go through this whole listing and waiting thing again).

eternity4u 06-20-2012 07:06 AM

I have always open a unpaid item dispute.

These buyers just think they can get away with anything.

I have put buyers requirements too....but arrgghhhhhhh still sometimes it is waste of time

Now i got a echeque that the buyer cancelled....which means another non payer.
The list is going for non payer this month is huge:faint:
