i dont think its anything to do with the banks, banks have had the faster transfer going for a while.

I think its more to do with pp delaying he payments in the first place , once you have so many transaction, how you treat your balance , little disputes and so , then they see you as less of a threat.

they_screwed_me_too 07-08-2012 07:44 AM

hmmmmm online saver withdrawals arriving instantly form new accounts

but not on the older ones

bizzare

meVebay 07-08-2012 07:47 AM

I wonder, will the verification deposits start to be sent via faster payments, or do you think they'll keep it the same?

they_screwed_me_too 07-08-2012 10:37 AM

i would think they would also be faster

crafty1 07-08-2012 10:54 AM

I've just added by bank account to one of my accounts, will see how long the deposits takes....

johnstonJr 07-08-2012 04:09 PM

they_screwed_me_too 08-01-2012 11:54 AM

cortex 08-06-2012 09:51 AM

Happens on my contemporary accounts not on my established ones

mirus 08-06-2012 02:00 PM

proownuevo 08-11-2012 04:12 AM

pepsi82 08-11-2012 10:49 AM

Something has defo changed even for those of us not getting faster withdrawals.
All my accounts are new, so have holds and take 5 days withdrawals. BUT - Funds were released for an item I sold to the US last thursday after I provided a tracking number. I didn't withdraw straight away, but when I did (at midnight) literally four hours later the buyer claimed non receipt. Before, that would have resulted in a massive reversal of the bank transfer, but nope, my paypal account is negative and the money hit my Halifax saver a day later.

I investigated and found item had not been delivered yet, so have emailed paypal and the buyer to explain that the tracking (airsure) on USPS.com shows item is in the right state an out for delivery, so hopefully all will right itself shortly re: my negative balance, but.. yay for no massive claw backs from withdrawals anymore! :D

dburnside 08-11-2012 06:17 PM

fantastic news, stealth accounts here we go :)

Dont be so naive.:deadhorse:

If this deal goes sour, paypal will suck the funds from your bank account.

You may find yourself in deep doo-doo if you do not monitor your account carefully. :nono:

oompaloompa 09-07-2012 02:30 PM

been getting the 24 hr review message on nearly all withdrawals for 2 weeks now, inc, one I cannot withdraw from as bounced back several times, so much for 2 hrs.......

GrannyT 09-07-2012 02:33 PM

Same here Oompah - every draw down goes into 'review' for 24 hours

what banks this where its bounced back, roughly how olds the account ?

oompaloompa 09-08-2012 01:08 PM

will not say on open forum which bank, cos bank + bounce = oomp
it bounced and I decided to spend it instead of another try, til this all blows over...it is a 3 year old acc.

2 other withdrawals were ok after the 24 hrs

none large amounts, all under £300

barton_67 09-09-2012 07:39 AM

It should go through tomorrow - next working day.

barton_67 09-09-2012 08:23 AM

hope so thanks for your quick reply

Elijah 09-09-2012 08:53 AM

I got it on two accounts but this time it did not go through straight away... transfer was requested on Friday and went through exactly 24 hours later on Saturday.

For some reason, the email informing me of the withdrawal request says "up to 24 hours", not 21. And this is exactly how long it took.

barton_67 09-09-2012 01:58 PM

the email i have says For security reasons, we are reviewing your withdrawal request, which could take up to 72 hours. After our review is complete, PayPal will release your funds. It can take up to an additional 2 hours for those funds to be deposited into your bank account

Dunersdunes 09-09-2012 02:24 PM

I just transferred 545.00 USd at 945 am and received it in my bank at 1042 am.. less then an hour

Elijah 09-09-2012 04:25 PM

Since mine took the full 24 hours stated in the email and not the 21 hours originally stated, I assume that yours is going to take the full 72 hours.

GrannyT 09-09-2012 04:50 PM

Hmm - I get the same as Elijah on every withdrawal now - I've not yet had the 72 hours though

:ranger:

Ebayorbust 09-10-2012 01:44 AM

I've had a bit of both - some 21 hour reviews, some 24.

Looks like pp are experimenting at the moment. Hopefully it will settle down soon as Im not liking this withdrawal lottery!

oompaloompa 09-10-2012 08:02 AM

latest one got the 24 message, but it actually went in within 2 hrs....and did not get a second email.

barton_67 09-10-2012 08:14 AM

just had that account limited there just before the 72 hours is up there asking for id,proof of address and business info do you think its worth doing or is the account gone?

Callidus 09-10-2012 11:05 AM

Always worth giving them what they want.

The main question is do you know WHY it has been limited.

What amount were you looking to with withdraw?

barton_67 09-10-2012 11:25 AM

no dont have no why its been limited. tried to withdraw £100

Elijah 09-10-2012 11:55 AM

Did you sell a "high risk" item?

barton_67 09-10-2012 11:58 AM

i sell clothing elijah

Elijah 09-10-2012 12:21 PM

If it's branded then you know the answer, lol. And if this is the case then that will be why you got the information request when you attempted to withdraw. If you left the cash in there forever, they wouldn't have done anything to your account... since the limitation is triggered by attempting to withdraw/spend funds associated with a "high risk" sale. PayPal is strange.

So if you sold something high-risk, that would be the cause of this, and yes it would be worth fighting for the account in this instance.

barton_67 09-10-2012 12:49 PM

yeah that could the case then thanks for your help
