Hey, not sure if anyone know's but paypal now send welcome letters to new customers.
My dad has recently signed up for an account and received the letter. I have done a google search online for the letter and came to an interesting forum.
Not sure if i can post the actual link as its the forum on paypals site. But if you type "paypal welcome letter" into google it should come up.

well you live and learn,,,
Your new account makes you part of a community of 220 million users worldwide for whom PayPal is the preferred way to pay online; and now you can make it yours.
So, what can you expect from your new PayPal account?
Then there's some nonsense about being safe, paying quickly and shopping where you want.
Yours sincerely

I have never had these even on the very few "real" address that I use. 99% of my address are straight out of my butt and work great for the 1 day period required for my purposes.
But why would this necessitate access to the address? It's just a useless "welcome to hell" letter?
I just saw this post, and just had to reply, since you derided my method of operation as "a waste of time and effort", which it most certainly is not.
Really? How the heck can you say that for certain when you know nothing more than the fact that I use 2 per day and leave them in the dust after that? You just made that comment with nothing to back it up. I have found that it is the only practical way for me to do business with these goons. And I no longer have to worry about limitation like I did before. And it takes like 2 minutes to make an account... and I use them to the limit each time... so it is time and effort well spent for me. I get to sell WAY more than I could with just the handful of accounts from before with nothing to worry about any more.
But why would this necessitate access to the address? It's just a useless "welcome to hell" letter?
To overcome the idiocy of some old tart or foggey in Essex (or any other County) who does one of two things OR both.....
phones paypal to let them know they got mail not in their name & the world will explode OR
goes to the Village Post Office, demands to see the Post Master and tells him about this letter not in their name & he is to get off his public service rear end and get the mail delivered.
Such are the life interests of old tarts & foggeys. That welcome to hell letter must arrive. Its their civic duty to make sure.

This is why you choose an address in a deprived area (no offence to anybody) because they most likely would just bin such a letter and get on with whatever they do.
