Good result though.

There's a fine line between standing up to them and pissing them off, which i think I have now mastered.... Majority of the time sending them the royal mail link helps lol!

Being polite, professional and firm with your communication will work in the majority of cases.

It's the 'professional' buyers who know all the scams and use them to their advantage

Totally agree!

I would love one day for eb to actually open their eyes and start respecting the people that bring them the money!

Congratulations - wasnt sure if this post was about "trying it on" vs. "getting it on".

When you send your item, why dont you retain the proof of purchase recipt you can ask the teller for? i do it all the time

NoneOther 07-18-2012 03:01 AM

p/p do not accept proof of postage as proof of delivery, only signed for will do in a dispute

Global 07-23-2012 06:29 AM

Well done, can I ask though how much extra it would have cost to send recorded in some way?

Global, unfortunately there is a huge jump in prices for overseas recorded postage, for my 390g items its £5+ more depending on where.
For UK sales I have included the recorded delivery within the price of my items however people overseas would refuse to pay much more!

I have recently had an increase in 'Item not received' with overseas sales so I will be looking at other avenues on how to send.

diamonda 07-31-2012 06:23 AM

The postage hike recently has been ridiculous, together with sended recorded even the most basic of reasonably light items costs a lot, and that's just within the uk.

joey ^^ I would seriously consider just restricting your sales to the uk in light of your problems, unless that would seriously impact on your sales volume/profits.

I have been considering this myself to be honest.
I may even say ask for quote for overseas sales and make them pay the actual rate it will be tracked. I dont get many sales overseas but when I do they order quite a bit.

diamonda 07-31-2012 07:14 AM

^^ yeah, unless the majority of your sales are international it sounds the best option in the current high postage climate, just to put a "overseas buyers PLEASE EMAIL ME FOR ACCURATE POSTAGE QUOTE FIRST" within the descrip/postage section.
