Just noticed they are not releasing my 21 day holds after feedback is left?! WTF

Had a little fish around the forum and only found one thread about this dated Jan 12. They have only recently started dong this on my accounts.

They also do not release funds after sending recorded delivery?! double WTF!

In their 'How to get your money sooner'

It STILL states customer to leave feedback or send tracked and it will be released, but it quite clearly does not!

I have steady money coming in however I have to pay for my supplies AND packaging AND shipping....

How are crafty people and very small businesses cope?

Do they ease off you when you have more fb etc? Im just below 100 on most my accounts all over 90 days.

When is the karma bus going to run over PP, then reverse back over them?!!!

Even better, every time I have clicked this link it takes me to a "this page does not exist" page, but still on paypal's own website (so not a windows/internet error).

I feel your pain as in similar situation re: account age and feedback. Like you I've found that the recorded delivery doesn't auctomatically release the funds whatsoever . (to use this to release funds it appears the seller has to contact paypal, name the transaction, state that the tracking in that transaction shows 'delivered' then they seem to check it their end and release the hold).

I've found that positive feedback tends to release them almost instantly without any further contacting pp required. Was this the case for you too? If so, any change over the last few months in your fb score- any neuts/negs etc?

a customer left positive feedback and i still had to wait an extra week for release. on that transaction i didn't provide delivery though.

Have you contacted PayPal with your transaction and tracking number to get the payment released yet?

The funds SHOULD be released if and when feedback is left, but it does not always happen even when feedback has been left, so emailing buyers does not always work becuase they leave feedback but funds do not get released.

if you do nothing about it, then 21 days your money should be avalible to withdraw, does not always happen either, go figure lol

Regardless of the above, If you want, 3 days after (not including the day you sent it) If you have tracking you can send an email to PP with the tracking id and transaction id and if they can see it in progress on RM website or where ever, PP will release the funds.

i also add all tracking to pp, but that does nothing for wanting money 4 days after sending the item.

how old is your ebay account?

I just do not sell anything of value til after 3 month mark..you need to prepare the account
and age it...

you wait 72 hours after the item has been signed for

THEN add the tracking to PP (not before its signed for)

call them and they will release there and then whist your on the dog and bone

if you pay for recorded delivery through PayPal it doesn't even let you add the tracking ID (if it's possible to add it can someone tell me?)! that really pissed me off. still, i just wait for 3 days after it's been delivered then call them on their 0207 number and get it released

you dont need to wait that long.

3 days after you sent the item, you can contact PP with the information and the funds will be released.

from experience they will only release 72 hours after delivery

since the two threads, i have done it for items that are still transit, 3days after the day i have sent them and funds have been released on a few different accounts within the last month.

I dont follow - why call them 3 times a day?

I have two accounts without the holds now on english eBay.

Such a godsend! I withdraw most of the funds 3 days after sale!
