having trouble finding a new modem

i've been with virgin internet for years and had a virgin modem which i use for stealth to switch ips, as in the book. my internet has been playing up ridiculous the last few weeks, so i rang virgin up and they've sent me out a superhub (modem+router), which to the best of my understanding is no good for stealth, so i haven't switched to it yet as i can't change ips. everywhere i go to buy a stand alone modem i'm faced with modem+routers, as i'm being told they're being phased out in the UK (big surprise.)

anyway around this yet?

get a router and make the superhub as modem only, when wanting to change IP, log into your router firmware, change few letters or numbers in WAN and restart both and should give new IP everytime,,

100% sure this will work? i've seen loads say they have trouble switching ips regardless of what they do with the virgin superhub

yes i have tried it and it works, as long you have a router which you can change the WAN mac address, which most routers do, also the wireless range on superhub is crap so probably work out better,

unless you have few accounts can be a hassle changing IP everytime, i find it easier using tmobile 3g on my galaxy s3 tethering to pc, everytime you dissconnect and reconnect 3g it changes IP so much faster, i notice my 3g when checking on whats my Ip site it gives different locations like london to manchester its totally random everytime ?
