Don't Use Gift Cards on PayPal UK
 

Just a notice to say be careful when using gift cards with Paypal UK

2 days ago I brought a gift card from Tesco with £25 on it - non re-loadable
and when I added it to my Paypal account, my account was limited.

At first I was confused as I've done nothing wrong, so I called them in Ireland
as it's free for me, instead of calling a 0870 number which costs more than enough. - How random is that I can call internationally for FREE but have to pay for UK calls. :smash:

Anyway the woman on the phone told me that it was a security issue and
that I was to avoid these types of cards and use a re-loadable prepaid card.

What happen to the limited account did they restore it??

Oh yes after telling them I would add a bank issued card, they gave me my account back.

why not use Entrop@y?

Entropay still works?!!!!!

No it does NOT work for USA.

Been advised for over a year to NOT use entropay for USA accounts.

Entropay works - so do 3v Gift Cards I have bought from Co-op stores
