UK LTE in a few weeks...may you all be blessed with insane speed and new IP ranges...

Yes, it's coming in a few weeks. UK's first LTE network, a joint venture between Orange and T-Mobile called EE or Everything Everywhere. They will be releasing a dongle and MiFi box.

This should mean some nice, new IP ranges for the isles. Don't sleep on it. I am tired of seeing every other new topic like, "OMG MY IP WON'T CHANGE AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

Hahaha, I am kidding. But, seriously, LTE will make you cream and scream.

4g already blows my mind. Got an lte plan but no phone to truly test it out :(

GreenBean 09-11-2012 06:27 PM

4G is only as good as the infrastructure the signals go through.

So how does lte compare then vs just speeds? I could do with better reception!

Everything Everywhere

Britain's biggest mobile operator, Everything Everywhere, announced the imminent launch of its superfast mobile service under the new brand EE, putting it in line to become the first operator to carry the iPhone 5 on the 4G network.

Device makers including Samsung, Nokia, HTC & Huawei will be available through the EE brand.

Everything Everywhere, a joint venture between France Telecom's Orange & Deutsche Telekom's T-Mobile, will use the new EE title for its shops, network & the 4G service. Its existing Orange & T-Mobile brands, which have 27 million customers, will remain.

EE will start offering a fixed-line fibre-optic service & the first fourth-generation mobile access within the next few weeks, delivering speeds around five times faster than existing 3G networks.

The demand for faster services has been driven largely by the popularity of smartphones & tablet computers.

The EE brand began testing in four cities including London & it expects the service to be available in 16 cities by the end of the year. It has not released pricing details, but it aims to begin commercial rollout in about a month.

T-Mobile and Orange are big players and I haven't seen any complaints about LTE anywhere in the world who has gotten it yet. Plus, there is already good word buzzing about EE speeds. On top of that, they are getting some incredible high end LTE devices. No low end nonsense.

Hi, wondering what will be the price and the data limit also will it be capped ??

unkown5454 09-12-2012 12:45 PM

LTE has to be capped or throttled simply because of so many people would try and abuse it otherwise. EE has not mentioned pricing yet that I see.
