withdrawal refused

little help hear people

i have a verified pp and smile esavings account using stealth details

i have tried to withdraw my fist ammount £2.50 and now my onlne banking has been restricted (cant login without calling) so i assume a flag has gone up
guess they want to know why funds are in a funny name, so dont really want to call them.

unless you have a good reason i can give them, cant think or a decent one
...

so does this now mean i need to bail on the account,as the funds have bounced back to pp and rised some flags with them im sure?

dont really know what to do, do risk trying to withdraw to another account or will that account also get blocked by pp as account has been flagged by bounceback ?

had the same problem with a lloyds account recently and they limited the account asking for id and letter to confirm address

As if PayPal weren't bad enough... LLoyds will make you experience a whole 'nother level of pain, if you use them for stealth. That is why they have never been recommended for stealth. Any other UK bank will be fine, so run away from them as fast as you can.

mmm

so iv logged in to paypal and my hotmail there is no mention of the amount getting bounced back or me being now blocked... infact they have cleared another £12 for me to take out

so it could be the bank has just blocked my online acess for my own protection

still not sure if i should call them

anyone have any ideas how i can explain money coming from a 100% random name from paypal ?

oompaloompa 10-02-2012 12:31 PM

so this is first ever withdrawal?

are you sure this e-saver accepts monies via direct debits

cc123 10-02-2012 12:35 PM

yep

yep first withdraw on this account ...

and not too sure about esavings with smile as its only account with them

but they have blocked me from signing in to online banking

cc123 10-02-2012 01:57 PM

so still not sure

so tell me if this is a silly idea

going to call the bank tomo provided paypal havent blocked my account or emailed me to give alternative bank details for withdraw

. i assume they have just blocked my loging into online banking incase of id theft or something which is y they need me to call in and i assume first transaction has gone in

my story to the bank ............

i am a free lance artist using the pseudonym (stealth name) and have been using paypal/ebay to take bookings/commissions can i get it unlocked ....

didnt know i needed a trading as name

oompaloompa 10-03-2012 03:36 AM

unless it is an new policy, smile has always accepted different names.

yes a business name is perfectly acceptable, but actually I doubt you should say anything about that to them until you find out what reason is, it could be a login issue.

cc123 10-03-2012 05:26 AM

thanks for all the help seems smile is fine ..

i just phoned up said i was having trouble logging in. They confirmed a few details and now its working.

not 100% on why it didnt work but all good. no mention of odd payments

must of been some login issue ..
