Hi all,

Before I start just want to say how great it feels to know there are so many savvy business people out there that have all this 'priceless' knowledge. #reassuring! Thanks aspkin for being so entrepreneurial and creating your book and forum. Hope you are reaping the benefits!

OK so my paypal has been suspended. Some of my ebay accounts have been - others not but I know that these can go down any minute.

I have bought the Stealth Book and am following as best I can.

I'm in the uk and have a couple of questions. I want to get back selling asap as I don't want to miss the xmas season. I sell fashion items £50 - £200 in price and would be looking at approx 15 or so per week.

In the process of opening ebay and paypal stealth accounts - a bit time consuming but getting there.

Happy to spread the trade across several new accounts.

Ebay only let new sellers list 3 branded items per month as an individual so should I therefore open an ebay account as a 'business seller'. If I do should the name and address be variations of the real info?

And how about for paypal?

Before I became a bit more 'savvy' about all this I used to use both the ebay and paypal apps of my iphone.

Should I therefore not ever use these again with my new stealth accounts due to ip address linking?

They are really good for bidding on the go so is the only way to use these in the future to get a new phone? Or can you change the ip address on your iphone?

Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum

i would recommend getting a sellers account.

you can sell more branded items

you want get flagged by competitors

it also doesn“t look as fishy as some privat seller offering various branded items for sale.

as for your accounts. why did you get suspended, are thpse accounts linked to one another, do you use 1 paypal account for just one or more ebay accounts?

Then you make more accounts if you like.

Forgive me if I am reading your message wrong but are saying I should open several individual accounts and sell 3 items on each one? Or are you saying I should multiple business accounts?
Sorry again if I am getting the wrong end of the stick?!

If you are selling high end clothing, that may be an option you will need to take.

However, this 'need to get back quickly' may backfire.

Unless the accounts are made correctly you could have problems.

What, if any, is your idea of 'stealth'?

Do you know about not using any old info?

Everything , and I mean, everything, must be new.

Thanks for your reply.

I have purchased the Stealth Book and am trying to apply all points.

Am getting a bit confused with which pieces of info I have to keep 'real' so as to be able to prove it if necessary.

Am I right in thinking I should use a different name and address on ebay registration but 'real info with a variation' on paypal (variation of name/address)?

And yes I know 'quick' and 'stealth' do not really go together.

Learning a bit more every day....

Thanks for all the support so far

my understanding is you use the same account name on ebay and paypal, i.e. they should match.
But they can be a name variation of your real name which resembles the name on your bank account. So ebay and paypal can have McDonald and your bank account is MacDonald, obviously it depends on your name and possible variations

They can do... Just not on one account.

You have 2 options. Buy an established selling account that will have no limits on branded fashion items.

Or, create a dozen accounts, and list what you can on each.

Both will take investments. You'll need bank accounts etc.

But you have to be quick, 7 weeks to xmas!!

A quick entry could be a quick exit. Make sure you know exactly what you are doing and cover every possible corner of the stealth world before you take the dive. Take you time, build a solid account, follow the rules, and you account will last.

As quick as you wanna get back to selling, take it slow. I joined here about 4 months ago and wanted to get back to selling ASAP. However I had to take it slow and only NOW (4 months later) am I about to sell my main items. I've learned a lot from the forum and other websites, and changed my mind over a ton of things during that time. I'm not saying you should take 4 months but just take your time and don't rush it

I don't think that's true at all. No new seller, unless extremely lucky, could sign up for an account and post P90x, a G/ucci bag, and iPhone and expect to be ok if it's only 3 per month.

To think that means you have not grasped the concept.

Please stop making accounts NOW. Your set-up is seriously flawed. This is the inherent danger of rushing.

To start again, you make your ebay and paypal accounts with matching information. Your bank account must be created in your real info. paypal look at the sort code & account number.
You should choose a new address as well.
This is all part of making 'you' look like a 'new, stealth you'.
That's the crux of the tasks in making new accounts.

Matching information. I've got it now

So I will get some new bank accounts created asap - real info of course.

And so I use a completely new address? Will this not be an issue if I need to prove identity?
