Advice Wanted for ID

eBay have asked me for some ID, No problems, however i don't know what i should cross out on my Telephone Bill or Driving License. Any ideas what important info i should black mark out with a pen?

Also, invoices... what is best to supply them, do they check if you get creative?

Thanks in Advance.

They will on all probability reject any document that has ANYTHING blacked out or obscured. They are very specific in that ALL information should be visible.

Will they check up on your invoices?

Possibly, depending on what you are selling and how that may be perceived in their risk assessment. I t will also depend on how 'authentic' your documents look.

They will check up on your invoices.
i sent some once and i put my mobile number on one invoice.

days later got a phone call .never thought it would be them.
so i answered and i was on o2 and they said they was from o2 blah blah and would i confirm my name and address. caught me of guard and gave real name .
soon as i said my last name they hung up. then i realised it was PP..and yes a day or 2 later ebay and PP acc gone..

so beware...LOL they are sneaky...

How many suppliers with invoices use a mobile number on them?

A nice 0800/0870 number costs £2.

Plus, never confirm your name to someone on the phone if they ring you.

Would definitely concur with that.

Never give any info to an unknown caller until you have established who they are and then politely explain that you do not give out personal information over the phone.

I always ask them for a number and a reference that I can call them back on, they soon get the message.

Everything must be as 'clear'

No more blacked out info. Cause to reject documents.

Good chance they could check invoices. Depends on items being sold

For invoices, provide the right documents that you have control of...no surprises.
