What bank accounts are good and allow many esavers?
 

Any ideas? natwest, santan, rbs, barclays, nationwide already done!

Wow thats the extend of my knowledge on the UK banks...perhaps search the threads or wait for other UKers to comment.

CoOp and I think there is the bank of Scotland or what ever it is called that they tell me is not RBS. In fact they seem to brag about that fact.

Bank of Scotland did own Halifax which I think is now owned by Lloyds

RBS own Nat West which is all owned by us since the Government bail out

hsbc, bos, post office, coop, yorkshire, any really but Lloyds

Lloyds its good ? I heard its not good with stealth.. . cuz they do complicate things with a first name is that true ?

would you recommend to open bank account online (Halifax) or go the nearest branch ? I am not sure my credit score is amazing. Do they check it when you open a basic account ?

Why do people keep trying to open current accounts?

Only open basic accounts, these only require an ID verification and address check and not a full credit check.

If you have a poor credit history/rating then you should be aware of what effect this has on your credit file.

Repeatedly trying to open current accounts makes it worse.

ok i did opened today simple basic "easy cash account" with Halifax online. We will see what happens.

I think current accounts are more advertised then cash account. If you go to any bank websites they compare all accounts, but cash accounts are not there. I have to dig in through Halifax website to find this Easy Cash Account.

there's a really simple answer to that.
easy cash account do not belong to BOS or halifax for one.

but the main reason is, there is no extra products for the bank to sell you with these accounts, on the other hand with current accounts they offer you all kinds of EXTRAS for a monthly fee of corse.
