| bruceuk | 12-08-2012 01:45 PM | Mc043 notice OOPS
Just had an MC043 Notice
It has recently come to our attention that some of the contact information on your account is false or missing. This breaches our False or Missing Contact Information policy.
***About eBay's False or Missing Contact Information policy***
The name, telephone number, email address and physical address you register with eBay must be correct at all times so that eBay and your buyers and sellers can get in touch with you. You may not register a fax machine, modem or disconnected number instead of your actual contact telephone number.
It then goes on to update my information .
This is a full stealth account .
Question : Is this one a gonner like i suspect.
Thank you |
| Ebayorbust | 12-08-2012 01:48 PM | Not a gonner by any means. Give them the info they are asking for and it will be fine.
I take it there was no working telephone number on the account? |
| bruceuk | 12-08-2012 01:54 PM | They did not state any specific info .
email stated :
We realise that privacy concerns could mean you're reluctant to register all your details with us, or you might have just forgotten to enter or update your details.
Here's what you should do now:
Please update your contact information within 48 hours to avoid the possibility of suspension of your eBay membership. Here's how:
1. Go to My eBay > My Account > Personal Information.
2. Click 'edit' next to any details that need updating and click 'save'.
If you don't want to list your home telephone number, you can list a voicemail number or a work number instead.
And no there was not a working number linked to this account .
Account was recently purchased .
Its 15 months old
400 plus feedback 99.8%
no selling limits on eb
no limits on pp
Thanks |
| bruceuk | 12-08-2012 03:10 PM | Ill try adding a fresh phone number and hope for the best i think . |

Quick update of phone number & it should be sorted.
Mind, make sure you keep this number active. On one account where we got this notice, the pests called months later....only reason I (still) think was to ensure there was an active number.
:peace: |
| bruceuk | 12-08-2012 07:09 PM | Thanks GB.
Info noted and leason learned .. active numbers for stealths ..
How you guys do it with hundreds of accounts amazes me ..
The mental capacity required is mind boggling ... |

The mental capacity required is mind boggling ... | At the start it is.........
I started off with those yellow stickies
Numerous cups of coffee spills later, I had to change the plan. Too hard to work out scrawled, washed out writing.
Excel became a friend.
What I suggest is start slowly. Become as familiar as you can with what you want to do.
Are hundreds of accounts possible? Sure.
Would you go nuts rushing to make them? For sure.
One account to start with & find out how to run it well opens the way to having more stealth accounts if that is what you want.
Dont forget Michael Schumacher drove go-carts for years before becoming a Forumla 1 god.
Do ebay the same way. Slowly & beat the bar stewards.
Victory

join something like soho or switchboardfree, one phone number for each ebay, set up forwarding to your mobile in groups , so you know which account your answering to and reply in withheld mode (if they dont answer message them on bay, saying you trying to contact fromk withheld), or buy a loads of cheap mobiles
another precaution , if someone messages you on eby asking for your phone number, just tell them to send you there's and you will ring them
Never failed for me yet

Excellent info for a newbie stealth like me.
I cant see me ever having hundreds as my plan is just a few to protect myself for when i get dumped on again.
As it gets a little tiresome having your income taken away from you through no fault of your own .
But i hear you .. slowly slowly .
Thank you |

| bruceuk | 02-27-2013 04:20 AM | If you dont have access to address maybe eb / pp have sent a letter and the house occupier has returned it or complained ? |
| levi6482 | 02-27-2013 04:23 AM | so how would i know if its this?? do you have experience of this?? |

Ebay will not tell you where your going wrong.
You have to figure out for yourself.
You have a working phone and email so it can only be address thats the issue.
Depending on the age / limits of the account in question i would either start again or move the address to somewhere you have access to so no future complaints. |
| GreenBean | 02-27-2013 04:35 AM | @levi
BruceLee and I had a long conversation on this topic.
I told him bedtime stories about issues of address & access
Actually gave him nightmares.

Soon as ( like yesterday), get an address you can access.
Then call ebay and tell them about being such a busy little bee you moved house but did not update your address.... and here you are only too happy to be able to sell on ebay uk 'cos you just love them....
Get an address, cancel out the notice. Sell on.......
Wagons Ho!!!!!!
:cheer: |
