Creating current accounts within your online banking facility

I'm have multiple ebay and paypal stealth accounts that have been active now for quite some time.

I have a fair amount of money in each one of my paypal accounts.

Normally, I just go down to the bank and open a current account and link it to my paypal account to withdraw the funds. Paypal don't run checks on the real life name of the account holder. So even though my stealth accounts are all setup in f a k e names, my bank accounts are setup with my real name. I still link them to paypal and it works fine.

However, I get sick and tired of my bank asking me why I need to have multiple current accounts.

Is there a bank that I can setup a current account with under my real name, and when I have the new account, I can setup my own current accounts within my online banking (preferably with no limits of how many accounts I create and no monthly fees per account.

Providing each current account number is different, paypal will never link them together providing you only link one current account number per paypal account.

I bank with the Co operative bank. The online banking is simple but lacks this feature. No monthly fees though which is good.

Any ideas?

This question gets asked almost on a daily basis.

Lots of existing threads regarding suitable banks.

The search button is your friend here, they're not that hard to find.

I usually do it online and no one will ask anything. natwest, coop are good once, just make sure you open basic current account.

Thanks for anyone that provided me with any answer.

I do realise that the answer to my specific post may be somewhere amongst the million forum threads. However, finding an answer to match my precise circumstances can often be a laborious task and a forum is not exactly setup to index all queries in an easy to sort through manner and search functions don't always help.

I have been using the search facility but there are so many variations of the same/similar problem. I do get a bit sick of the standard reply of search for it. Answering my query in that manner took about as much effort as it would to answer the question!

Many threads are written by people who's English skills are questionable. Obviously many are foreign in which I have no problem against. Finding a thorough answer to a question today that covers all bases seems pretty difficult.

It's always a fine balance with these banks. At the end of the day, we end up asking ourselves what is easiest for stealth purposes.

Despite the OZ flag, I use ebay.co.uk & so have different bank accounts.

I use Co-OP.
However I have had more success with RBS. This bank offers me more for the needs of the (stealth) account.

After the initial trip to the branch, I have been able to make subsequent accounts online ( at my convenience & at a time I want).

I have also had luck with Alliance & Leicester plus NatWest.
Combination of these banks should benefit your stealth selling.

Overall, it's not unreasonable to say that majority of UK banks allow users to make accounts online AFTER the 1st account has been created.

Good Luck

So Martin, how do you got about setting your paypal up for selling without adding a bank? :peace:

bigbill 12-24-2012 07:47 AM

With natwest/halifax/santander/rbs i have no problem setting up new accounts online, however I have the same problem with coop online facility. I have no idea how to set up new accounts savers or currents with coop.

Does anyone know if it is possible with coop or do you have to go into branch/do over phone to open new accounts?

martinn12003 01-03-2013 05:52 PM

I called the co-op and they told me it can be only done on the phone or in the branch. Alternatively snail mail will do it if you can fill in the application forms.

It takes 40 minutes on the phone and loads of questions...

a thread about multiple accounts is a bit of a non-thread without the input of Mr Multiple Barclays Accounts

On topic though, you wanna get yourself with RBS and Natwest and get using their online banking. Take 2 minutes to open another account with them.

barclays is a moody master though.

RBS is aces.

I enjoy using SKYPE for these phone chats to open further bank accounts.

Geography is nothing.
