Default compliment/feedback slip opinions please

just having some full colour (nice and good quality) generic feedback cards done to include in ebay purchases to feed traffic and sales to my website

any tips, thoughts or corrections would be appreciated before i send the draft off to the printers

front side is basically advertising the websites

rear side is regarding feedback

and it goes like this :

Thank you so much for choosing to shop with me in my new eBay store. I'm new to eBay and started this small business this year after losing my job. Your satisfaction is my top priority and i pride myself on customer service.

All my items are posted within 1 working day of cleared payment via your chosen method, however sometimes delays can occur in the Royal Mail postal system.

My success on eBay is solely based on the ratings i receive from you, and even a few low stars can seriously affect my business and standing as an eBay seller.

My success on eBay is solely based on the ratings i receive from you, and even a few low stars can seriously affect my business and standing as an eBay seller.

You can contact me via eBay messaging and ill reply within 24 hours or feel free to telephone at any time.

Please visit my new website at www.************.co.uk where you will find an enormous range of *****, ****, ******* and **** items, ****, ********, ******** and *******, ******** and *********.

the job thing is not true but there to get the buyers off on the sympathetic foot

i look forward to your response

I like ..
Maybe a small discount can be mentioned if they purchase direct from your site.
And good idea on the losing the job thing..
Always helps to keep things more personal so they think there dealing with a genuine person and of course a little sympathy always helps and a lot reading it will think well at least he is doing something about it ...

The leaflets we send with our packages offer customers a discount on their first order, Currently we offer 10% which works out less than ebay/paypal fees.

Depending on which eCommerce platform you are using you might be able to setup a promo code so they only receive the discount on the first order.

Not sure why you would want to direct people to contact you on ebay when the idea is to direct people to your website ?

i wouldn't bother with discount until your on your feet and can afford it.

time and effort should be put in to driving your ebay custom to your website, fine tune the site, link building and SEO. IMO.

I have a v.good way to get people talking about you and your site

the contact us is regading the feedback (although i see the problems it may cause with people emailing the site with ebay problems and vice versa)

your better off offering a free gift with every item purchased.

That free gift should be a lotto ticket inside each purchase.

Record ever lotto number you give away and watch for winners.

Any big winner, contact national papers and tell them your story anonymously of coarse lol

when i was doing this people said i was mad but as you can see there was method in my madness and one customer gave me 35k (tax free of corse) becuase of there win but besides that, my sales went through the roof.

i started of doing it on ebay, you would be supprised how word speads.

Keep it nice and simple - some people are irritated by flagrant advertising.

Personally I only give details of my websites, anything else can seem like grovelling or desperation.

If you are confident in your product, service and after sales care and you believe that your customers have a good experience dealing with you then there is no need for explanations or special discounts.

They will buy from you again because they trust you, that's why we all repeat buy from suppliers.

Your promoting your business so to be seen as professional you need to act professional.

Just my opinion of course based on over 25 years experience dealing with customers

Sometimes, from my experience, having your website and business name in a lovely large font on the slip with a slogan (MAKE SURE ITS NOT TACKY) can be more effective that a shed load of dribble.

I personally agree with NoneOther, lose the jargon. You don't need to tell them how good your service is, if you've provided it with the product you have just sent them.. right?

Good luck
