declaring to hmrc

Hi,

Ive just been banned for vero from my normal ebay accounts and im going stealth and no more vero,im going to set up as a sole trader and was wondering what hmrc would want to see from ebay/paypal and would they not think something was wrong if the names were different?

For HMRC you don't have to show them your eBay account, you supply your managed accounts (Books)

They don't care if you have on or 100 eBay accounts as long as you pay tax on your earnings.

Welcome to the forums.

Hmrc = HM Revenue & Customs: Home Page I am guessing right?

If you are doing strong business, perhaps worth getting a UK business identification number and going from there.

I dont know much about this but wait for other UKers to chime in.

All the best.

If you need advice on tax then ask a professional e.g. an accountant or tax advisor, they will keep you right.

Do your books not have to have a break down of what you paid out eg. paypal and ebay fees, then if you had to prove this and they are in a random name it might be a problem.:noidea:

Take professional advice.

No one here is qualified to give tax advice on your circumstances

Yes i know everyone is not an accountant but some people here will do their own tax returns and know what you have to provide

Whether they do or not is not the issue.

The forum does not give advice on tax.
