Paypal withdrawals
 

I tried something out today, went into my Paypal where I had say £150, £50 has been in there for a couple of days, and the £100 was from a fresh payment I received today. I went to withdraw £60 which was £10 more than I had actually shipped, and before I confirmed withdrawal it said "You may have to wait up until 24 hours" for the payment to appear in your account. I then decided to confirm today's item as sent and change the withdrawal amount to less than I had confirmed as shipped

I went to withdraw £40, and low and behold it said only 2 hours as opposed to 24.

Shows the importance of only withdrawing cash from orders that you have confirmed as being sent.

This is a new account and I have not been hit with the pending withdrawals as yet, so steady small withdrawals is the way forward for this account.

same thing happened to me when i tried this today.
Although yesterday when i tried the ''clicking back method'', it didnt make the time lower.
I seem to have to wait 3 days before it is safe to get the 2hour withdrawal.

If you clicked "continue", there is a good chance that you would have been limited right after clicking it. If you try to withdraw money from payments just received, they do this...

I took quite a few new payments today from customers, but I did click continue and withdrew £75, however how would you ever be able to stipulate that this was for older payments rather then new ones?

I did click continue, and went into my bank immediately.

I think it's because I took out quite a small amount.

I meant if you did it the first time with the £60.

Ah ok, yeah it's possible. Although judging by a very similar account that I had where it was also for non-ebay sales, then I probably would have just had to wait for 72 hrs.

Yep usually I let the payments sit for a couple of days.

I've noticed this on one of my accounts;

'Account A' is an old account, Top Rated etc. Not all items are shipped via recorded methods (usually items under £5 aren't, but only ever list as First Class, not recorded) so are just noted as 'shipped' in paypal. Withdrawals on this account ALWAYS fall under the 24 hour review regardless of value and such and the fact the account is TRS.

'Account B' is a few months old, just out of the 90 day payment hold thing. Everything on this account has always been sent tracked, with tracking info updated onto Paypal. Every single withdrawal on this one has said 'up to 24 hours' but then been sent immediately.

Can only assume that eBay see there could be potential problems with 'Account A' due to withdrawing payments from items without positive feedback or any tracking info, whereas 'Account B' always has tracking to back it up.

Then again, this is Paypal, so who knows?! ;)

Same thing happened to me today, tried to take out £40 it said "can take up to 24 hours", changed to £35 and it changed to 2 hours.

On my accounts I am receiving payments outside of EBay and never adding tracking.

Yes but I have been taking ebay sales and shipping same day and receiving feedback if I try and withdraw an amount from sales that have been shipped still says 24 hours?

and if you check the email they send you at the same time it can say

48 or 72

i think it depends with what yu are selling ,if you are selling low risk goods the time becomes less the lessyou want to withdraw, if high risk without tracking number the time can be as high as 72 hours

Letting the payments sit for few days is proper

It doesn't work like that. As long as you had at least £75 "cleared" from a previous sale, that is all PayPal cares about.

Also today I tried withdrawing 75 quid and It said 24hrs, tried 50 and It said 2 hours. I then withdrew, afterwards I tried for another 25 and it said 2 hours.

Didn't withdraw though.

I quite like this system, when you get the 2hr notice then you know its going straight into your bank

Now I tried to withdraw the same day and it won't even let me withdraw 20 without the 24hr thing, anything over that it says 72hrs.

Received a few sizeable payments in there today. This is why we say slow and steady. Paypal obviously have a "desperate scammer" algorithm.

I've been getting the 24hr transfer time on all withdrawals to my new stealths (under 60 day old PP accounts), but when I hit the back button and enter the 'same' amount' I want to withdraw, it then changes to 2hrs, and show up in my bank accounts immediately.

On one of my stealths today, it gave me the 72hr transfer time for the first time, and when I hit the back button and even lowered the amount, it still showed up as 72hrs, so I cancelled the withdrawal, just to be safe.

When it says 72hrs transfer time, how long does it normally take? Does it still have the possibility of showing up immediately, or can it really take up to 72hrs?
