Dynamic Ip address question
 

Hi everyone,

I have a quick question about dynamic IP addresses.
In the stealth book it says that i need to log on to my router settings and look for my wan mac address and then change a couple of digits before resetting the router etc...

However, even though i know my ip address is dynamic, it will not allow me to edit the wan mac address on my router settings.

My question is, because my connection is dynamic anyway and the ip address should change each time, will this be ok with a stealth account as long as i keep track of the ip's and make sure they are changing each time?

Yes sure, if your IP is dynamic then just make sure it changes whenever you cycle your router.

What type/brand of router is it?

My main router will not cycle new IP's I have left it unplugged and unconnected for days and when I reconnect it, the original IP comes back.
My kids use this one for gaming and such.

I purchased a router off of craigslist for $5. I now have a router that I can change mac settings easily.
