Huge backlog, some folks have been waiting over 2 weeks

derbydave 02-05-2013 12:46 PM

i've been waiting around a week. i'm £50 off the £1900 limit. my choice is either to use another account or phone them. ring ring, ring ring, hi paypal!

NoneOther 02-05-2013 12:55 PM

That's the beauty of multiple accounts, no need to put yourself under pressure, just spread them sales around

derbydave 02-05-2013 12:59 PM

i live on the edge NoneOther, i'm getting on the dog and bone

Callidus 02-05-2013 01:09 PM

Imakemoney 02-05-2013 02:07 PM

I've waited months for some of mine...

turboman 02-05-2013 02:13 PM

damac 02-05-2013 03:00 PM

I got the error after about 12 days saying I hadn't sent docs in (which I had I always double check) and they limited it on 3 accts

derbydave 02-05-2013 03:56 PM

they've just limited my account. i sent the docs in about a week ago, nothing. just tried to phone them, the accounts limitations dept is closed. there's nearly a grand in there, all earnt (very hard, and earnestly) over the last 24 hours. good job i've read through these forums, otherwise i'd be crying. instead, i can't help but have a little chuckle

Do not forget that all of this angst can be avoided by getting the limits removed EARLIER.

paypal evens states that in their T&S

What is the Annual Receiving Limit?

To comply with EU anti-money laundering and Know Your Customer regulations, we’re required to collect and verify information from our customers. We must do this before our customers receive £1,900 into their PayPal account (in total) within a year of receiving their first payment.

To ensure there is no disruption to you or your business, we’ll notify you of this requirement when you receive £1,650 (in total) into your PayPal account.

If you expect to receive funds in excess of £1,650, you can deal with this requirement as soon as you open your account. We recommend taking this proactive approach to save any possible disruption in the future.

To lift your limits:

Log in to your PayPal account.
In the 'To Do' list on your 'Account Overview' page, click Lift your account limits, or click the View Limits link if the first is not displayed.
Check the box for Receiving Limit per year and click Lift Limits.
Follow the online instructions.

If you receive £1,650 into your PayPal account before completing these steps, an open issue will be displayed in your account’s Resolution Centre. From the date of notification you'll have 135 days to complete a number of requested steps to satisfy these regulations.

If you receive £1,900 into your PayPal account before completing the above steps, your timeframe for resolution will be reduced to 45 days in keeping with the increased urgency of the request. If you don't complete the requested steps within the 45 days, your PayPal account's functionality will become limited and you'll no longer be able to receive payments.

If your account becomes limited, the steps to remove the limitation will be shown in your Resolution Centre. To resolve the limitation, visit your account’s Resolution Centre and complete the required steps.

Once all steps have been completed we'll review your account and contact you as soon as possible.

Means one less bellyache with paypal if the limits are removed earlier & less of a disruption to trading.
:peace:

i tried to get the limits removed before i hit them. the last time i did it, they were gone in a couple of hours. i don't mind phoning them up and arguing my case, as it's quite obvious i sent the docs even before the £1650 nonsense occurred.

NoneOther 02-05-2013 06:20 PM

Arguing your case with p/p can often result in an outcome you really don't want.

But if your confident in your docs and you are prepped for any 'additional' questions they might throw at you then you should be fine

damac 02-06-2013 06:10 AM

i hadn't even sold and they limited me saying i hadn't sent anything in. i'm starting to wonder if it's a new error or they're just not passing or something has changed. when i rang on one of my accounts they said one doc had failed one was fine and that if i could "send in an additional one" they'd pass it. i figured it was useless.

If you feel the delay is long, you can try ringing them up to push a little
