oompaloompa 02-26-2013 12:29 PM

they are often f aked in china.....I have avoided them, as I heard way back about the issue with blades, but as I do health and beauty catagory I often come across legit sources, but they have lowish profit when bought legit anyhow...

They are the real deal not foo-foos :amen:

Bunneh 02-26-2013 02:55 PM

What was the reason they removed the listing then?

stevebills 02-26-2013 04:25 PM

told me not to sell them again and lot's of sellers selling them on eBay
so I presume I shouldn't have listed them in the first week of a stealth account
as I drew attention to myself silly me

rsot 02-26-2013 04:59 PM

Its for safety concerns - that stuff is either duplicated/counterfeited or is stolen and sold for profit.

It's a highly policed item for the UK.

Quite a few toerag competitors dislike newbies selling this.

Also there is the issue of the origin of the blades.... think it's one of those grey import issues.

Besides, it gives a lousy cut on a ladies legs ;)

List SHICK instead

:ranger:

is it not double standards letting some seller sell them and banning others
what are they thinking its so unprofessional of a big company like ebay :mad2:

Double standards and ebay in the same sentence?

:pout:

Selling a new item on a new account is a no no.

List something else first on a new account then move to new stuff.

Ebay does not like to see new items, esp branded items on a new account.

I just going to dig out my great great great granny's leg shaver instead :yar:

Thing is all Gillette / Wilkinson Sword blades are red hot items as they are grafted in bulk numbers by all the shop hoisters. I know people who both nick em and people who buy em from the people that nicked em.

They then sell 'em on for a profit to their work mates etc - I even know someone who buys them to then sell on Ebay for a big profit. The problem is they cost so much brand new that its no wonder they attract thieves as they are infinetely pocketable.

I can remember a local supermarket decided to move them to the checkouts thinking this would deter theives, all it meant was they'd made them easier to steal as people are always preoccupied at the checkouts unloading trollies, getting out their wallets / purses etc and the staff are too busy scanning items. So the lads I knew who were hoisting them has a field day for months, they would go out in a car and hit supermarkets all over the north of England and make £1000's everyday.

I reckon there will be a lot of ⊗⊗⊗⊗ about too, I've seen them for sale at car boot sales along with snide colgate toothpaste etc.

there in security boxes at Tesco and Sainburys and I can sell you an Alpha S3 detacher magnetic opener for them only £40..........just joking!!
