Default PayPal Limitation

Hi Guys

Would love some advice, I have had two PayPal accounts which have been limited, one is a business account which has been verified for a number of years and the other i use for personal stuff and they are linked.

My ebay account has also been limited due to my paypal accounts, and i get an error when trying to revise my current listings or upload any new ones that say's to resolve any outstanding issues with PayPal.

Now in my business PayPal account there is no steps i have to take, just sit back and wait for them to review... and i think this was because i had a high refund rate for some products i was selling.

Now because i made the error of using my personal account as a backup to use with ebay when the other got limited of course that one got limited too.

However on the personal account they are asking for things like the supplier info and invoices etc.. i have no problem giving that to them the products i sell are legitimate the only issue is my supplier is from china.. would they have anything against that?

Also another thing on the list of things which i need to complete are to resolve the issues with the main business paypal account.

How would you guy's approach this?

with regards to china non-branded there should be no issue, most/alot of things are made there.

resolve issues, you mean refunds/disputes? are any outstanding? if you need specific advice on these, you would need to post more info...

probably just a generic 'to do' list then, just upload what you can on the list...

It has often been said that PayPal do not like Chinese invoices. However I have found this to be generally untrue for obvious reasons. There are some things you need to be careful with in regards to sending your invoices. Make sure the currency format is in GBP if you're account is British. Also, PayPal don't like to see weird company names like “Xing Chi LTD” etc.

I am just talking from experience so nothing I say is final and I am sure there are people who have submitted all sorts of invoices have had them accepted.

well either way all my accounts have been suspended now.. this really sucks.

Have had these accounts for years with no issues and one little problem arises and then then punish you like this, it's sad - what kind of company are they.

yeah.. well i just logged into my business paypal account and i was wrong about that one, seems it is still active for some reason although limited but NOT suspended?

Weird but i suspect due to my linked personal account being suspended that will probably get taken down.

I have read eBay Stealth and i am planning a new setup today i have a few options would be good to talk to somebody properly about this and which way to go with the new setup.

I have a home abroad which i could use for an address, but I'd have to open a bank account over there too which i have not done yet but is simple enough.

Also, i may go ahead and create some other accounts in the UK too where i am currently staying so i have a couple backups ready to go.

The name thing i am a little confused about, once i have new address, bank and phone number.. what name to use when i open a new PP and Eb accounts.

I looked in stealth and i know it mentions the variables, but if again i get limited then they may want to see proof of identity etc then that might be a problem i guess.

Quickly to add... should i call and followup with PayPal about the business account since it has not yet been suspended? but still limited or under review.

I'm not too sure about your business account which is under review. Personally I would just wait and see what happens. You could try calling them but they will give you generic answers like, "we will pass on this information to our Account Specialists and you should receive a reply within 72 hours".

Also I am a bit confused about how you're planning on setting up a Stealth account on a foreign address. If your address is foreign and your IP is UK-based, then it's only logical this would raise alarms. I could be wrong though.

About proof of identity etc..you will need to have these documents ready because once you reach the annual EU receiving limit which I believe is £1900, they will ask for the documents anyway.

hi deebee80
i was thinking the same thing when i had to use a name variation on my stealth account and this morning it came to the time to submit the info to get the limitation lifted.
i figured a way to get it lifted and now.
i have sold 5 items and ive got 0 feedback still on ebay and i can list 100 items or 3500 and ive only been back on for 5 days.
i cant believe it worked and it cost me nothing.

I really wouldnt start uploading any invoices that are in anyway chinese or relate to goods being imported from there. Especially if its in a 'word' document format.

Good luck

So what do you think guys..

I still have my papal business account that is under review.. there is nothing for me to resolve in this account.. no steps etc.. they told me a couple weeks ago the review might go the full 14 days as they have a back log but it has gone over that time.

I have no open disputes etc... the only issue is they closed my personal account down which was linked.

I might also add the business account is a full web payment pro merchant account.

Should i call and followup? or wait it out.

Seems like the review is dragging on - can you still receive payments? If so - can wait. If not...limitation is hard one now - I would call.

They closed down a linked account? You might be doomed, sad to say
