Using address to which you have no access
 

Hi

Can anyone tell me if there are any serious drawbacks from registering stealth accounts to an address to which you have no access?

I can only think of one, if a customer will refuse to return item to the address you tell him and decides to use resolution center.

But I never get that as I put a letter in with each parcel and inside I write the return address if they are not happy so they will return to my real address and not stealth.

But will any other problems come from using address with no access?

P.S. I heard of the infamous paypal/eBay introduction letter, but never had one of those myself for those stealth accounts to addresses to which I DO have access.

The other drawback comes if you try to raise selling limits on the ebay account and they decide to send the code to you.

Main issue is returns - and if you want to buy something with that account

Issues include and are not limited to any of the below

Resident at stealth address will go to eBay/PayPal if mail arrives in another name

Buyer will report different address thus making issues not needed

Occupant at stealth address may also use eBay so you stuff them up just because you are not bothered to get a working address

Think proper stealth not lazy stealth

too much work for an account with too many drawbacks.

Not a good way to build a good long standing account.

I wouldn't even bother myself if i couldnt get an addess i had access to.

Lol I have no access to ALL my accounts.

I don't bother with returns. I sell so much so losing £16 isn't the end of the world. Instant refunds.

I am not limited to bank accounts nor am I limited to addreses

Why don't you guys follow suit?

I'm a body builder and I spend around £400 a month on supplements alone...So some of my accounts are purely for purchasing the earnings not withdrawing.

Let's just say Bob sells £2,000 in profits a month on eBay with addresses he has access too.

If he tripled his earnings to £6,000 a month and didn't accept returns just refunded, Bob would have a better ****ing car, a house on the hills and a family with wine coolers.

I just thought to ask

how about changing an address at a later stage to the one you DO have access to,

say changing it after around 3 months of account being opened,

will that cause problems or will it be ok?

New addresses can be added at a later date, no problem.

Lets just say bob has an address...He would make more shimples.

Not really a bodybuilder as I haven't competed in a show, more a gymrat. With an intimidating frame to eBay buyers that come to my house :pry:

I changed my address on eBay then got automatically limited on PayPal because I couldn't take a phone call.....If your going to do this make sure you have the phone number at the ready and your secret questions on file! Or you will get insta limited for documents! :pop2:

Sorry . was just going by what you said in your first post about been a body builder.

Intimidating frame lol.... surly that depends on whos comming to the door.

Not everyone is intimidated by a large frame.
